Charlie
Napanganga sya sa sinabi ko. Emotions showing all over her face.
"Are you f*cking kidding me Young? You're all over tabloids with different women almost every week. And here you're telling me you thought about me everyday?"
"You saw that huh? I didn't know you read tabloids." I chuckled.
Kitang kita ko ang inis sa magandang mukha nya. "Look. I have no time for this. Let go."
"On one condition."
Mahina syang napamura. "You are in no position to ask conditions. We are not together anymore and as you can see I am bu --" Hindi ko na sya pinatapos sa sasabihin nya.
I kissed her. That was the condition I was asking for -- a kiss. She still tastes as sweet as honey. I am hard as f*ck and we just shared a kiss.
Her eyes were dazed when I ended the kiss pero mabilis syang makabawi. Even back then, she's different from the other girls I dated. She was very simple, intelligent and was never a fan of make up. Ngayon ko na lang sya nakitang nakaayos at posturang postura. I knew she wanted to be a nurse, I wonder if she pursued it. "You have no right to kiss me."
"I am not sorry if that's what you're waiting for."
"Arrghhh! You are f*cking unbelievable!" Tinanggal nya ang braso ko at binitawan ko sya. I saw her go back to her brother.
Ako naman ay pasimpleng bumalik sa mesa ko at inubos ang wine na inorder ko. I made a call to my investigator.
"Hey, I need info on Jaqueline Reynolds ASAP. Thanks."
Within a few minutes ay nasa akin na lahat ng information nya. She's still single. She didn't lie about John. He is his oldest brother at dalawa lang silang magkapatid. Jackie graduated with honors. She took her Business Degree at Mc Gill University in Montreal and accelerated her Nursing Program at Queens. She has two degrees. Wow! Kaya naman pala hindi ko na sya napagkikita after highschool ay sa Canada namalagi. She works as CEO and President for their Pharmaceutical Company and volunteers as a nurse on weekends. Aha! I can meet her there kapag nag volunteer din ako. I just need to know her schedule. Para hindi obvious na talagang itinadhana kami. Ang galing ko talaga!
I even have her cellphone number and they have a house here pero hindi ito yung napuntahan ko dati.
I sent an email to my investigator to find out where she is going to be volunteering tomorrow. A minute later he replied that she will be at Little Ones Orphanage not too far from here. We support that place, I can surely drop by and visit.
I waited for them to leave at saka ginawa ang report ko para kay Daddy. I texted AJ and Caleb at sinabing tagpuin ako sa penthouse mamya. Sa bahay na lang kami titigil imbes na lumabas pa. AJ already texted back hindi daw sya pwede at occupied na sya. Hmmmm --- interesting. Ngayon lang sya tumanggi at weekend pa. Is it because of Luna? Caleb confirmed and will be coming so that's good.
Nagluto ako ng pulutan at makakain namin ni Caleb. Ubod namin ng takaw pero hindi naman kami tumataba.
"Anong meron at bigla kang nag ayang mag inom?" tanong ni Caleb.
"Guess who I saw?"
"Ghost?" Caleb can be a moron sometimes.
"Tang*na ka. Tao ba yung multo?"
"Sabi mo who. Bakit? Sino ba yung nakita mo? Sounds like important person."
"Si Jackie."
"Jackie? Jaqueline Reynolds??" Tumango ako at napasipol sya. "Anong sabi nya sa iyo?"
"Ayun, galit pa rin."
"Tarantado ka kasi. Bakit mo hinalikan si Helena noong prom eh kaibigan nya yun."
Umasim ang mukha ko. "I did not kiss that woman! She kissed me!" Katwiran ko sa kanya.
"Pwede ka namang umatras, ginawa mo ba?"
"Nagulat nga ako dahil dinukwang nya ako, pero itinulak ko naman sya." Paliwanag ko sa kanya.
"Pinaliwanag mo ba kay Jackie?"
"Makakapagpaliwanag pa ba ako eh ang bilis tumakbo! Pumunta ako sa kanila, walang tao. Then she dropped out at nawala na."
"Babaero ka kasi. Hindi ka gumaya sa akin, one woman man." tuya nya sa akin.
I smirked. "If that is the case, then where is Kristina?"
Sya naman ang umasim ang mukha. "Ikaw ang pinag uusapan dito at si Jackie."
"Fine. Anyway, I'm volunteering in the orphanage tomorrow."
Bigla na lang bumunghalit ng tawa si Caleb at nasamid sa chips na kasusubo lang nya. "Ikaw?? Seryoso ka ba?" Dinama pa nya ang noo ko at tinampal ko naman ang kamay nya. "Wala ka namang lagnat."
"Seryoso nga! Jackie's going there tomorrow."
"Ayuuuuun! Kaya naman pala bigla bigla kang naging samaritano. You still have the hots for her! I bet she grew up really beautiful. May picture ka?"
"Wala. She's f*cking hot though! Hindi ko nga sya namukhaan agad." Ngumiwi ako.
"Bakit ka nakangiwi? May ginawa kang kabalbalan?"
Napakamot ako sa ulo ko. "Eh kasi napagkamalan kong boyfriend nya yung kasama nya. Kuya pala nya!"
Humalakhak si Caleb. "Charlie naman! Unang beses nyong magkita pagkatapos ng maraming taon bad shot ka na agad agad?!"
"Anong magagawa ko? Ayoko ng may kahati sa kanya. I don't want her dating anyone. Dapat ako lang ang titingnan nya."
"Tsk. Malala ka na. Yung mga girlfriends mo, iniwan mo na ba?"
"Wala akong girlfriends."
"Huwag mo nga akong pinaglololoko. Nasa e-news ka na naman last week, kasama mo yung modelo. Ano nga pangalan nun?"
"Si Victoria?"
Napapitik ito sa hangin. "Yun! Victoria Johnson."
"She was wild." Napailing ako. That woman wanted another round in bed but I only f*ck once then I leave.
Napahilamos sa mukha si Caleb. "Sinasabi ko sa iyo Charlie, hindi ka na mapapatawad ni Jackie kapag kapag umulit ka pa. Hindi na tayo highschool."
"I swear, now that I have found her — my bachelor days are over. Papakasalan ko na agad sya para wala na syang kawala."
Caleb sipped his beer. "And what makes you think she will marry you?"
"She still loves me. I can feel it."
