Turns out the social ended shortly before we check in—I’m glad we missed it. By the time we reach our room, I’m sleepy again, and I drop my bag at the foot of one of the beds before throwing myself onto the neatly made covers. Lying on my back, I kick off my shoes and let them fall to the floor, then raise my arms above my head to stretch out. “God,” I sigh, closing my eyes. I could fall asleep right here. My shirt’s pulled up a little but I’m too tired to tug it down. I take a deep breath, my whole body relaxing back against the bed. I should sit up, change into my bed clothes, brush my teeth, something…but with each passing moment, I grow more comfortable and it gets harder to move.
