LOVING TATI

EVERYTHING went according to plan. Every vampire that came within the ten-meter distance of the pack’s border was either annihilated or dismembered. The shifters got the same fate. Tati’s team went to the territory of the Omittaa pack through the command of the high alpha Roman. They were asked to aid the pack from the attack of the combined assault of the vampires and rogue werewolves. This mission came with a little rush. It was a personal request from the high alpha himself. Winona, the alpha of the Krieger pack, has to oblige on the request. Not only because it was the high alpha’s command but also, because it would be a free advertisement for the business that the pack has established recently. The Krieger pack is under the leadership of the alpha Winona Strange and her Luna, Dr. Uno Stone-Strange. The pack’s main source of income came from its newly established business called Security First. Since most of the pack was high on security details, Winona and her beta and cousin, Tatiana Weasley, decided to make a business out of it. Their pack, the Krieger pack, was one of the most highly guarded packs. It has a high-efficiency rate when it comes to pack security. The pack was popularly known for having great warriors. It stands up to its name. Krieger means solder or skilled fighter. It was the life-long goal of the current alpha of the pack to make sure that the territory is well protected from all possible attacks. It was also the reason why Winona thought of extending the same idea by establishing the security business. However, the security was for the human population who were very high on security details especially the A-list celebrities as well as the business establishments. Not only that Security First dwells on security details but they also ventured on paid security personnel as well as security programming. The business went well. Sending security staff to business establishments has been one of their great assets. Most of the officers were either shifters or at least half-breed. “It’s a wrap. I see no one within a mile and a half. Good work, guys.”  Tati broadcasted to the link after she check the monitor in front of her other. The werewolf shifter has the capability to communicate through telepathy. It was called mind link. Only the werewolf shifters that belong in the same pack can mind link each The sun will be up in another hour. Within that time frame, they will stay within the borders until they will be allowed to enter by the pack’s alpha or beta. Tati was playing a game on her I-pad when one of the pack’s warriors neared the border. He spoke with one of the men on the team. “Beta Tati, the alpha wants us inside. He wanted to speak with you.” “Sure. Pull me up. My butt hurts from sitting too long.” The warrior reached for her hands with a wide grin on his face. He was used to the attitude of the female beta. Two warriors accompanied them towards the pack house. Four people were waiting for them at the entrance. Three men and a woman. The woman was beside the tallest man in the group. “You must be Beta Tati.” The man said. He was unsmiling but he has soft features on his face. “Yes, alpha.” She clasped his extended hand. “I am from the Krieger pack. We were sent by the high alpha Roman to guard the borders through the request of Solana Petrov.” Understanding dawned on his face when he said that. “Thank you. I did not know that your calvary was coming.” “It was a covert op, Alpha.” “I see. I am grateful for your help. I knew that without your team at the border, there might be a few casualties on my end.” “You’re welcome, alpha.” “Perhaps, we talk about it in private.” Tati nodded at him. The beta of the Krieger pack turned to the man on her right. She gave him an instruction before she face the alpha again. “Alpha,” Alpha Calhun and the woman led in the direction of the office. Tati got the chance to look around her. The packhouse was a combination of concrete, metal, and wooden structures. It was pleasing to the eyes. It was a little rustic but cool. Not in a creepy kind of way. Her eyes went to the woman beside the alpha. They were not introduced. The woman also remained quiet beside the leader of the pack. It was clear that they are not mates. The man is sporting a mark on his neck while the woman has none. They also have similarities like their squared jaw, skin color, and their dark brown eyes. It was easy to conclude that they are related by blood. Bentley, Tati’s wolf, hummed. The human almost made a face at her wolf. She must admit. The woman is pretty. Not in a Miss Universe kind of way but her long, straight hair looked smooth and silky. It bounces from its high poly tail. Since Tati was following them from behind, it was hard not to notice that the woman in front of her has a great ramp and flaring hips. She also nods in approval when she saw the pair of sneakers on the woman’s feet. It was almost identical to the one that she has on hers except for the colors. Hers was a mix of gray and pink while the other woman was in white and blue. “I am interested in the technology that you used, Ms. Tati.” The alpha said without preamble the moment they entered the alpha’s office. A smile formed on Tati’s lips when she saw the simplicity inside. It has two tables. Behind each one was a chair while in front was a pair of seats for the visitors. There were two filing cabinets pushed to the side. The alpha went behind on table while the other woman did the same to the other table. Tati, on the other hand, occupied a chair in front of the alpha’s table. “It’s a little pricey, alpha.” She said frankly. The man smiled at her. His eyes focused on the visiting beta female. “A technology like that isn’t cheap.” Tati grinned. “Then, let’s talk about business.”  The beta of the Krieger pack asked the alpha what he wanted in the territory. She was taking notes as he speaks. They had an half an hour of deliberation. She stood up. With an arm extended, she gripped the alpha’s hand. “It’s a pleasure doing business with you, alpha. I’ll be in touch in a week’s time for the plans.” “I like that. Thank you.” “You’re welcome.” Tati gave him a salute gesture before walking towards the door. Her head was on the cloud but it was halted when she felt a hard object drop at the back of her head. She turned around. Smile gone, her eyes went to the floor. A paperweight was innocently lying on the ground. Her eyes zeroed on the woman who was glaring at her. Dark brown eyes were looking at Tati with annoyance. “What was that for?” “Just like that?” Leaning on her left foot, she gave the brown-eyed woman her full attention. She crossed her arms in front of her with her lips in one line. “You got my attention, woman. Spill.” The male alpha cleared his throat. “Tati, this is my acting beta, Keena Alexander.” He introduced. “Alpha, I do not like how your acting beta treats me. She’s rude.” Tati bluntly expressed. She squinted her eyes at the brown-eyed woman. She was sizing the other woman’s capability to fight with her in hand-to-hand combat. “K, what’s the matter?” The confused alpha asked. The acting beta of the Omitaa pack stared at Tati. She made a clicking sound in her mouth. “Tell him, Tati.” Her brow raised at the audacity of the woman to order her. She smiled. However, she liked how her name touched the woman’s lips. “It’s a pleasure doing business with you, Alpha Calhun. I’ll call you when I am done with the layout. Thank you.” She turned her head again only to have another object thrown not only at her head but on her back as well. Annoyed, she picked up the pen and the paper weigh. She threw it back to the beta of the Omittaa pack who was surprised at the action. The pen made a landing on her cheek. “Now we’re even, b*tch.” She grabbed the other pen but make sure that it made a touchdown on the woman’s forehead. “Aww! That hurt!” “It was supposed to hurt. Now you know.” She yelled. “Girls, what is this about? Is there anything that you wanted to tell me?” “NO!” The alpha raised his hands in the air when they said it at the same time. More went in the air and on the floor. More curses and swears were uttered in the room while the alpha was flabbergasted as he watched the two female betas make a shooting practice in front of him. He breathed out. He became more confused at the catfight. He thought the fight began and ended at the borders of the pack.
