"So why are you coming with me and not Austin again?" I say pulling up to the hospital.
She turns to me and raises her eyebrow. "Can't I come to see how my niece is doing?"
I chuckle on how sassy she sounds right now. "So I'm having a girl?"
"Yes! I can feel it." She says taking her seat belt off and getting out of my skyline.
I walk behind her and start rubbing my tiny bump. You can hardly tell that I'm pregnant because of my black sweater and Leggings.
I open the door and the familiar cream walls meet my eyes. We go to the second floor to Dr. Larson's office and I'm greeted with the same lady who seems to like Austin.
"Hello Journey, where is Austin?" She says giving me a fake smile.
Fake smile. "He is at football practice."
She gives me a disappointed look before she gives me a smirk. "Well, hopefully, he can come next time. Why don't you go take a seat over there and Dr. Larson will come." She says pointing to the chairs further away from her.
We don't listen to her. Instead, we just sit at the two chairs closer to her.
"What's her problem?" Destiney asks flipping through a magazine.
"She likes Austin." I flip the page of my baby book.
Ashton. Hmm, I like that name. Highlight.
"So what letter are you on?"
"I'm still on A's. I want either a girl or a boy. But it doesn't matter to me." I say highlighting Addison.
"Journey."
I stand up with Destiney by my side and we head in to see what my baby looks like today.

"Mom! I'm home!"
I plop myself onto the couch and switch on the TV. My legs hurt from all that walking that I've been doing today. I didn't want to know the gender because I want Austin to him there with me when we find out.
"Hey, honey. Did you find out the s*x?" My mom asks whipping her hands on the napkin in her hand.
"No. I want Austin there with me." I say highlighting the name Brayden.
"That's thoughtful of you. What letter you on?" She asks sipping her tea.
"B."
I highlight the name, Bridget. "What do you want?"
I look up from my book and I see my mom playing with her fingers.
"It doesn't matter. Can you go get me some skittles in my room?"
She sighs and goes up to my room. She comes back down with a pack of my skittles and throws me them. I open it up and pop a red one into my mouth.
I start sucking on the skittle when the door bell rings. I get up from my laying position and head to the door. I open the door and Austin is standing there with a lady.
"Hey Journey," he says shyly, "this is my mom."
I look at the lady by him and observe her. She has black hair with piercing blue eyes. She has her hair curled and is wearing nurse scrubs.
"Hello Journey, it's so wonderful to meet you," she gives me a warm smile, "Austin keeps talking about you. You're even beautiful than he describes."
I blush at her words and look at Austin who is blushing and looking at the ground.
"Would you like to come in? My mom is just making some hot chocolate." I say opening the door for them to come in.
The walk in and take a seat in the living room. I ask if they want anything to drink but they just brush it off with a no. I go into the kitchen where my mom is mixing the Coco into the pot.
"Mom, Austin, and his mom are here," I say taking a string cheese out of the fridge.
"That's perfect! I finally get to meet the other grandma!"
She runs out of the kitchen to greet our guest. I hear them talking so I just proceed with the hot chocolate.
I pour the drink into four cups. One for Austin and his mom and the other for me and my mom. I walk into the living room where they all are and I see pictures all scattered over the coffer table.
"What's all this?" I ask handing them their cups.
"Oh, I and Mary have been looking at old pictures," my mom says, "we found out that you and Austin were in the same elementary classes for four years in a row!"
I and Austin were in the same elementary classes 4 years in a row? What grade were they! "What grades?" Austin asks putting his cup down.
"Um," Mary says looking, " kindergarten through 3rd."
That's probably why. We were both so little that we couldn't remember.
"That's crazy. I would have remembered." I say taking a seat next to Austin.
Austin shakes his head letting us know that he agrees. "Well, you both were very young. It would be hard to remember." My mom says showing Mary another picture.
We start looking at the pictures together. I flip through one and see me standing with someone. The person is tall, black hair and brown eyes.
"Hey, mom? Who is this?" I asked handing her the picture.
She looks at the picture and gives me a small smile. "That's your grandpa. He passed away the month after that was taken."
I take the picture and study it. He kind of does look like her. I put it in the stack that I already look at and look at a different picture.
"Hey mom, when is Uncle Jake coming?" I ask putting another picture down in my pile.
"Next week. Mary look at this!" My mom says handing Austin's mom a picture.
They start laughing at the picture and I stand up to make me a sandwich. I walk into the kitchen and hear Austin on the phone.
"You can't keep on calling me."
Pause. "Because I don't want to be with you anymore. And besides, I want someone else."
He groans to the other person on the line. "Kelly, just leave me alone."
He hangs up the phone and he grips the counter top. His muscles flex under his black v-neck. I come out of the shadows and put my arms around his waist.
"Who was that?" I act like I wasn't listening.
"No one."
Ouch. That hurt. I thought he would have at least tell me that it was Kelly. But yet again we aren't dating.
"Oh. Do you want anything to eat? I just came in to make me a sandwich." I say grabbing the pickles.
Maybe just pickles sound good. I open the jar and start crunching the pickle.
"What happened to the sandwich?" he says chuckling.
"I guess I was just craving the pickles." I giggle.
He comes over to me and smiles. He stills pickle from my jar. Wait! He just stole one of my pickles!!
"Hey! That's my pickle!" I say.
"Not anymore! It's mine." He says bitting it again.
I go over to him and hit him upside the head.
"Ow!" He says clutching his head.
I laugh at him but he just grabs his cup of water and dumps on my head.
I go to hit him back but he stops me by crashing his soft lips to mine.
