Chapter 7It’s Saturday morning and Myles is asleep in my bed. No, Bump, of course we didn’t do anything s****l last night. We were both a little drunk and I suggested he spend the night, and then we went straight to my bedroom, where we got down to our undies and crawled into bed together. Very candidly, Myles held me and stroked my hair, and oh, it felt so amazing not to be alone. Yes, I know, the alone thing. I know I need to work on that, but, Bump, Rome wasn’t built in a day. I’m not that strong. Last night, Myles made me laugh and lifted my spirits. He’s so raw, that’s what he is. He reminds me of myself, in the early years, before I met Nick again, back when I was at Concordia University, surviving on ramen noodles and cheap coffee, studying and working full time.
