Waking up to the chilling sensation flushing over his skin, Rían noticed he was alone in bed. Lifting up onto his elbows, he searched the room for Jenaveve, but she wasn’t in the main room. He knew she couldn’t be too far though, because he could smell the delicious lavender lingering close by. Catching the dance of the linen curtain fluttering with the morning breeze at the balcony entry, he pushed himself up to a sitting position in order to better peek out the opened doors.
