Chapter Five
The next day Rowena arrived at the court with more of Seraphina’s clothes and other necessaries. She was given a summary of events so far. That evening the two friends dined together. “I’m bored,” said Seraphina. “I haven’t got any of my troops with me yet, so I can’t drill them.”
Rowena knew what was coming.
“When I get bored, I get horny,” Seraphina said.
“I know,” Rowena answered. “However…”
“Yes?” said Seraphina eagerly. “Don’t tease.”
“Hrothgar has a son. Well, several sons, I gather. The one I have seen, Eric, is comely. Though perhaps too young for you.”
“If they’re good enough, they’re old enough,” Seraphina said.
“I have no information about how good he is.”
“But you know how to get some, don’t you,” Seraphina said.
