At the council meeting Yolande and Seraphina were agreed that a lightning strike against Breconia might enjoy success, given that the Breconians were no doubt leaderless. Seraphina suggested that they move swiftly, with limited forces, with a precise goal in mind. “What we cannot afford to do,” she said, “is to get involved in a lengthy campaign. At present we do not have the resources for that. If we wish to mount a more prolonged attack, intended to subdue the country, we need allies, and that will take time.”
