Return of Aegis

Return of Aegis wasn't called this in the beginning. Its humble beginnings started out as a PC game - Aegis, which in just a few short months, launched in consoles and then shortly after became a cross-platform game - The Lost Aegis. Only after the emergence of fully immersed VR technology which utilized the players brainwaves to connect to the game, was Return of Aegis launched as the next expansion. With each new expansion, all existing users would go through a thorough character wipe. Everyone had to start from the ground up. All gold, valuables and super equipment would be wiped clean. Even if you tried to hide them in maps, it would not be possible; the AI got them all. There used to be huge public outcries whenever the wipes happened. But people soon got back to the game and rebuilt their empires. Empires rose and fell. Each period may or may not have the same top players. 6 months ago, Return of Aegis was announced. ZeRen and ZeLin, the top two guild leaders in The Lost Aegis, sat side by side on Mt. Kin watching the countdown timer go as the server came to a close. ZeRen was the leader of Holy Empire and ZeLin was the leader of Dark Empire. Those who didn't know them in real life would have had the shock of their lives. The two major guilds who always fought each other for territories and maps, had leaders who were actually siblings in reality. What a scandal it would have been, had the public known this. As the countdown occurred, to the world, these two were settling scores once and for all. Hidden at the peak of Mt. Kin. No other players could make it here. Only those with opposing quests could come. Instead of fighting, they sat down and discussed how they'd both conquer in the next expansion.
