Lek was on the point of fetching the fax when Anne-Anne brought it out to her. She was dismayed as she read the technical report, because it meant nothing to her at all, still she read through it point by point, which were referring to the four cores separately. However, after the technical document there was appended a hand-written note from the engineer.
“I am sure that it will be well-nigh impossible for you or many others to understand this report, so this is what it says in layman’s terms:
Core No. 1] the concrete is of insufficient strength to meet the specifications of the tender.
Core No. 2] the substrate is not as required in the tender document – the old road was probably used as the foundation for the new one.
Core No. 3] the contents of the core meet the required specificat
