Wishing Nyx would f**k me so I could forget all the intrustive thoughts in my brain, I knew that wasn't an option right now. If only for a moment I could think of anything, everything else. But all my thoughts seemed to process was how much I wanted Adriano in my arms, thankful he was alive and well.
I was sick with worry about Adriano. How could I have let this happen to him? If we had only been faster, maybe we could have spared him a little bit of the suffering I'm sure he's endured.
What if he was dead?
What if we were too late?
What now?
