As soon as the car stopped at the giant entry gate of the Leonardi mansion, my heart started pounding, ready to come out of my chest. My heart beat raced at speed as fast as a rocket. I was nervous about meeting my in-laws officially for the first time after marriage. I hadn't interacted much at my wedding. I felt my legs were shaking enough not to make me walk straight.
I mustered all my strength and told myself that I could do this. I can survive this. I took a deep breath in and out.
