"No. Let them study.” I can't have Amy back in her shell after just adjusting down her guard for me some minutes ago. “What's your problem with Harper anyway? You always bring her up." I shoot at him, and his face scrunches as though I am talking bullshit. But I am not stupid, I've seen the way he approaches her.
"In all honesty, it is you two," Garrett remarks, taking a huge bite off his burger.
"Exactly. And I have been noticing this craziness between you and Jake's girl. What's it?" Layton brings up, and I feel all my muscles stiffen.
