THE CONCORDIANS HAD built a high tower. As soon as Wilder left the overshadowing buildings, she saw it. Slim and tall, it rose to double the height of the surrounding buildings. It would be the perfect place to see all that had changed in the colony since she’d been gone. Was Concordia even a colony any longer? From what she’d seen, the place looked too developed to justify the name. And from what she’d heard, Earth had devolved into an uncivilized, wild place. Concordia had become humanity’s new home.
