INARA’s POV.
The shrill scream of someone makes me throw open my eyes and Jess's smiling face greets me.
We landed in America a few minutes past nine last night and i immediately went to bed after showering because I was f*****g tired. I didn’t expect my best friend to be the way to wake me up from my deserving rest.
“Happy birthday girlfriend” she yells excitedly, plopping down on the bed beside me, “you are finally an adult”
“Cut it out, girl” I can’t help but smile, “I have been an adult for years now”
“Two years you mean?” She rolls her eyes to the back of her head, “Whatever, happy birthday girl. I came early because I wanted to be the first person to wish you”
I smile without saying anything, Mr Valezquez already wished me but that is for me to know and for her to find out.
