VALENTINO’s POV.
I slam the phone on the table before raking my fingers through my hair, I know she is purposely not picking my calls, she is purposely avoiding me. I tried stopping her from leaving with that friend of hers a day ago but Inara is just too stubborn and i didn’t want to come off as overbearing and now she is not picking her calls. The thought of it makes me so upset, who knows what she is doing or what random fucker is trying to get her attention.
I clench my jaw in anger just thinking about it.
My door opens and Alex saunters into the room.
“Boss, everyone is waiting for you at the conference….
His voice trails off when my mobile begins to ring and I answer almost immediately.
“Hello”
“Mr valesquez” a familiar voice filters through, “this is Jess, Inara’s friend”
