I risked a glance at Bat. He was trying hard not to fidget. The urge to shift was getting stronger and stronger as the moon rose higher in the sky. I knew how he felt. I felt the pull too. Stronger than ever before.
Ever since I had thrown Gabrielle out of my home in the middle of the night I had found it harder and harder to control the beast within me.
Was this how Bat had felt all these years? Being in love with my sister and not being able to have her. Was sarah his mate? Did they feel torn apart just like I did?
Which was one of the reasons I needed to find Teddy. By finding him I would find Gabrielle.
