Angelica's POV
I woke up in a daze the following day, still feeling the heaviness of everything that Nate and I had eaten last night. I moaned as I stretched my aching muscles. I rolled over to look at the time, and it immediately set me on an adrenaline run. I was late for school. I had already missed several days of school now I was going but I was extremely late. I quickly showered, brushed my teeth, and got dressed. I grabbed my things and sprinted out of the house but not before saying goodbye to Asher. Nate didn't seem to be home, the man does have multiple businesses he has to take care of.
I quickly ran inside the school, and before I could get further I was cornered by one of the professors. I frowned deeply and kept my head down. He was one of the worst teachers in this school
