Once they all finished singing, I closed my eyes tightly and thanked the Goddess for such a wonderful birthday. I smiled widely as I opened my eyes and blew out the flames from the candles. Everyone around wolf whistled and cheered for me. Nate was smiling widely at me as well, I felt a blush creep up to my face and I immediately glued my gaze down.
"Happy birthday, Angelica." he whispered.
He was too close to me. I clenched my legs tightly and moved a few centimeters away from him. I felt my face turn hotter.
"I hope whatever it is you wished for is something you could get." he sincerely said.
"I already got my wish, and I couldn't be happier." I smiled.
