Stephanie was at my doorstep. Could this day get any weirder? I wondered.
I was taken deadpan surprised when Stephanie showed up, but I didn't think much of it because I was starting to get along with her quite well.
Well, you couldn't blame me. I was not expecting her visit.
I gave her a soft smile, as I reminded myself to stop staring rudely at her.
She moved past the entrance, and that was when my guess was confirmed. I thought I had seen a guy's shadow while she was standing at the doorstep. And I wasn't mistaken.
Had she brought a friend along? Not that I was against that, but it just felt weird, you know, coming to a friend's house for the first time, and then having someone that I wasn't familiar with tag along, it just didn't sit well with me.
