Chapter 5: Surprised

ARIANNA'S POV

It's been over a week since I've met Jordan and Ryker. Jordan, he's so sweet. We hung out a few times and it was fun. He's very jovial although he doesn't really talk much. He said he has school today. I kept asking him what school he's attending and then he'd say 'high school just like every teenager'. Well today is the first day of school. For the first two days of every week, Adri and I would match. It's just something we have been doing since we were kids. I rolled over and looked at the time. It's almost 5 am. I got up and pulled on my leggings and a tank top. I rinse my mouth with Listerine then pulled my hair up in a bun. I pulled on my waist bag that I carry my pepper spray, taser and my cell phone. You may never know who will try and attack you.

I walked out of my room and was about to knock on Adrianna's door but it opened.

"Wow, you're on time for the first time" I said smiling

"I'm still tired" she said as we made our way downstairs

"Girls you're up. I'm leaving early today so breakfast will be here when you get back" Mom said

"Alright, we'll see you later. I love you" I said kissing her cheek. Adri did the same and we left the house.We started off walking as usual and some conversation. It's just routine I guess.

"Okay, so you know how I said I liked Theodore right?" She asked

"I know, so?" I asked

"Yeah, so he and I have been talking and he realized he isn't really that into me" she said "He had a crush that he got over since we started talking. He just likes me as a friend" she added laughing

"Okay, so how do you feel about that?" I asked

"I'm cool with it. I mean, he's nice and all but that gives me a chance to try beach boy. I'm gonna set Theo and Trinity up" She said smirking

"I hate when you play match maker" I said shaking my head

"I mean he's really cute, he's a nice guy maybe a little Trinity is what he needs" She said turning her face towards me walking backwards

"And who is beach boy?" I asked

"Ryker, god you're so slow" She said rolling her eyes

"We'll see how slow I can be" I said taking off jogging

"See, now that's you cheating" She shouted . I started laughing and it was making me run slower.

"When are you gonna accept that I'm faster than you?" I asked

"Never, I'm not accepting a lost" she groaned. I slowed down and started jogging at her pace.

"I think mom should get us a puppy" she said out of nowhere

"Do you have time to take care of a dog?" I asked

"No, you're right. Maybe a rabbit?" She asked

"No, how about we just get this over with? I don't need a pet if I can't take care of it" I said

"But we could like take turns" She said

"Go live with dad, maybe he has dogs, cats and rabbits there" I said picking up my pace

"Eww God no" She said

After we finished running our usual trail, we raced home and of course I won. When we got there mom's car wasn't in the driveway. We got in the house and I head to the kitchen and ate my breakfast while Adri went upstairs. I always eat before I brush my teeth because I don't see a reason to brush again. My phone chimed and I took it out to see a text from Jake and a photo.

Babe❤️: Good morning gorgeous. I hope you slept well.

A smiled spread across my face as I read the message. The picture was a selfie of him just waking up.

Me: Good morning to you❤️ and I just got back from my run.

I sent him a photo with I hair all sweaty and messy but still cute.

Babe❤: Oh s**t baby. You look like a hot mess #winking emoji

Me: Haha, I know. I gotta go. See you at school xoxo

I went upstairs and into Adrianna's room. She was laying on the floor scrolling on her phone. Her closet was open and clothes were all over the bed. As you might see, she's the messy one. Her sneakers were scattered all over the floor. I walked in her room and took a space next to her on the floor.

"So, what are we wearing today?" I asked

"Black ripped jeans, white T-shirt and white and black Jordan's" She said

"Okay. I'll make you a deal. If you promise me to always keep your room clean, I'll organize your closet for you this weekend" I said getting up

"I can't make a promise like that but I'd still love to get my closet organized" She said smiling at me

"Be ready in an hour" I said walking out her room

I walked into my bedroom and looked for my ripped jeans and a plain white Calvin Klein T-shirt and my Jordan's. I got out my lace underwear and a matching bra. I walked into the bathroom, showered, washed my hair and brushed my teeth. I got out, dried my hair and put my clothes on. I spread my bed and organized my pillows. By the time I was finished it was already 7. I sat in front the mirror and did my hair. I straighten it bone straight and did a half up, half down hairstyle. I apply mascara and lips gloss then fill in my eyebrows. I didn't have to wear a lot of makeup because I didn't have acnes anymore and my skin wasn't pale.

I grabbed my bag and sling it over my shoulder ensuring I have everything. I walked downstairs and got the car keys off the counter and drove out the garage. I walked back into the house and took up my house keys then Adrianna came down the stairs with her soccer ball and her shoes half on.

We got in the car and head to school. When I pulled into the parking lot I parked at our usual parking space. We got out and I locked the car. As usual kids were staring and waving at us. We're basically the nicest popular kids in school. I waved back and we walked to our lockers which are side my side.

"We need a new rule. Tell Jake to wait by his locker for you. I can't stand seeing his face first thing in the mornings" Adrianna said

"Okay no problem" I said laughing

When we got to our lockers the hallways got quiet all of a sudden. Great, some announcement or assembly. I place my extra books in my locker and took out the ones I need for the sessions before lunch.

"Ari" Adrianna said nudging me

"What?" I asked looking for my history textbook

"Arianna" She said again

"What is it?" I asked

"The new guys are here and let's just say they kinda aren't new" She said touching my shoulder.

"Are they some students that transferred back here? I can't look right now I'm looking for my history book" I said rummage through my bag. Got it.

"Surprised to see me?" I heard a familiar voice say behind me

"Yes I am. I didn't know you were coming to our school" Adrianna said

"I could have sworn you were talking to Jordan?" I said looking towards her but it came out as a question and indeed he was standing there along with Ryker. Both smirking.

"Nice to see you too babe" He said winking at me

"You go to this school now? Why didn't you tell me?" I asked smiling

"Because I wanted to see that look of surprise on your face" He said smiling. The students were staring at us and Jordan and Ryker made it seem like we were long lost best friends

"Oh, so I get to see you everyday now" I said smiling and closing my locker

"Yes. So where's Mr toxic? I was expecting him to be on you like a guard dog" He said chuckling

"I haven't seen him yet" I said "And I told you stop calling him that" I added

I took my chance to give him a once over. He wore a white T-shirt, blue ripped jeans and white Air forces and a black beanie and Ry wore a black jeans, gray shirt and gray kicks.

"Hey" I heard Cindy chirped. So annoying

"And I have to go" Adri said "Ry let's go find your locker shall we" She said pulling him by his arm. She kissed my cheek then left

"Hi who are you?" Jordan asked Cindy

"I'm Cindy, what's your name?" She asked twirling her hair around her finger. Slut.

"Jordan and I have to go" He said "Arianna I'll see you later" He added winking at me. He walked off leaving me and Cindy standing at my locker.

"He's so handsome. I wouldn't mind having him in my bed later" She gushed

"Yeah, you just met him" I said

"That doesn't matter. If we have s*x he'll be hooked and never wanna leave. That's what keep the guys around Arianna. s*x" She said giggling "I'll see you later" She added walking away

"Babe, I didn't know your friends were coming to our school" Jake said appearing in front of me. I smiled and kissed his lips sweetly

"I didn't know either" I said to him. The bell rang and we head to class
