CHAPTER 19
I’ve never been in the habit of watching movies with the captions on before. At first, I’m annoyed, but I find that even though I’ve seen this film five or six times at least, I’m catching things now I never noticed before.
Like did you know that Harry actually raised AJ? It adds a layer and a depth to Harry and AJ’s relationship I wouldn’t have caught if my film buddy didn’t prefer to read the words in English.
It’s taking us about twice as long as it should to get through the movie because Hee-Man’s pausing at the rate of about once every three minutes to ask me questions. Why would the government waste a nuclear weapon on an asteroid? Wouldn’t they want to keep it for their own protection? Why would a Russian astronaut risk his life to help people who weren’t his kinsmen?
