The Empty House

Part 2

After dinner, Grace, Courtney and Yolanda were relaxing in Courtney's room, they were talking about many things in that room without them know that something was about to threaten and haunt them, then Courtney suddenly interrupted their conversation.

" Grace, tonight you sleep with me here, okay? " Courtney said, asking her older sister to sleep with her because she was afraid to sleep alone.

" What's the matter, Courtney? Don't you already have your own room? You should adjust yourself to sleeping alone. " Grace said as she looked at her beloved sister.

" I'm afraid to sleep alone, I'm not used to it. Please accompany me sleep here! " Courtney said with a sad face in order to be pitied by Grace.

" All right, I'll sleep with you here tonight, but only for tonight. You have to get used to sleeping alone, why be afraid? There's nothing in this house! " Oh, Grace, you're so very innocent. Who said there's nothing in this house? *Automatic writer slaps forehead*

" Let's sleep! " Grace said as she covered her sister with the blanket, Grace lay down beside Courtney. While Yolanda just smiled at her children.

" Goodnight Sweetheart " Yolanda said goodnight to Grace and Courtney. The girls also replied to Yolanda's words.

" Goodnight mom. "

Yolanda immediately closed the lights and the bedroom door and then immediately went into her cubicle which was located not far from Courtney's room. Jett looked engrossed in reading a book on the bed, while Yolanda climbed onto the bed and tried to lie down beside Jett.

" Grace and Courtney are asleep, honey? " Jett asked, keeping his eyes fixed on the book he was reading.

" Yes, they are asleep. " Yolanda answered Jett's question.

" Oh by the way your dad from Canada will arrive at the airport at what time? " Jett Rink asked this time he looked at the face of his wife who was lying beside him.

" Around 8 am, but can we go a little earlier? " Yolanda asked.

" Yes of course. " Jett answered, while Yolanda seemed to be thinking about something.

" Jett, I'm still thinking about what happened this morning, why did Liz suddenly turn into a fright when she entered the kitchen? " Yolanda asked.

" I don't know, maybe they really had some urgent business. "

" Have you contacted Bick? " Yolanda asked again.

" Yes, but he didn't pick up. What's up, honey? " Jett asked.

" Honey, let's sleep now. I'm sleepy already." Jett invites his wife to sleep.

" Yes darling I'm also very sleepy. Good night. " Yolanda said.

" Good night " Jett lay down and tried to close his eyes.

Outside Jett Rink's house now it was getting very dark and the situation was also very quiet all that could be heard was the barking of dogs and wolves that came out at night. Meanwhile it is dark in the house with all the lights turned off, not a single light is left on in the house except in the kitchen. The old clock on the wall was shows 2 am now and everyone must have slept well including Grace and Courtney. Meanwhile Grace and Courtney were sleeping soundly, suddenly there was a ghostly figure who was completely dressed in white, bloodstained and slightly dirty on the back standing next to Grace watching Grace and Courtney. Grace suddenly woke up and the ghost had also disappeared, Grace saw Courtney who was sleeping soundly and looked around the room. Grace felt like someone was watching her sleep.

" It's like someone's watching me? But who is it? " Grace monologues alone.

" Maybe it's mom who wakes up drinking water in the kitchen? Oh better i sleep again! " Grace said as she lay back on the bed.

The night that was pitch black and looked spooky has now passed away and was replaced with the morning sun shining on the US earth, everyone has also woken up from a slumbering sleep and doing morning activities including Grace who is currently still on Courtney's bed, she is squirming. She saw her little sister was still sleeping soundly, Grace tried to wake Courtney.

" Courtney! "

" Courtney, wake up, it's morning now! " Grace shook Courtney's body to make the little girl wake up but Courtney still slept soundly and comfortably without being disturbed, seeing Courtney not waking up, Grace uses a second trick, the affection trick, a powerful trick that their mom often uses when waking Courtney.

" Dear Courtney, wake up, it's morning now, Grandpa will be here soon you know, don't you want to welcome Grandpa? " Grace said as she gently caressed her sister's face lovingly.

" Okay, I'm wake up now" Courtney replied as she got up from her sleep.

" Courtney, now you take a shower, okay, I'm going downstairs for a bit. " Grace said as she looked at Courtney.

" Alright, but you don't leave me okay? " Courtney said, really scared to be left alone at home.

" Don't worry Courtney, I will never leave you. When mom and dad are there or not at home, you're remains my responsibility to take care of you. Now go take a shower. " Grace said.

Courtney immediately took a towel from her closet and went to the bathroom in her bedroom. Grace had also come out of Courtney's bedroom and was going down the stairs, she went downstairs and now she was off to the veranda. Grace saw her dad's red Mercedes Benz car was no longer in the parking lot, she thought that her mom and dad had been out for a long time to pick up her grandpa at the airport. Then she went into the kitchen and opened the fridge and got a glass of fresh milk. The knife that was on top of the cabinet suddenly fell, Grace took the knife and put it back on the cabinet. When Grace turned she was shocked to see the chairs and dining table floating above upside down way, her mouth gaping in shock and not believing what she was seeing. The figure of an evil spirit appeared to Grace's left but Grace didn't notice it, the glass that Grace was holding also fell on the floor. Suddenly someone held Grace's hand and Grace was definitely in shock.

" Oh My God!! "It turned out that the one holding Grace's hand was Courtney, the girl had just finished taking a shower and was already wearing clothes.

" I thought who, it turned out to be you! " Grace said as she looked into Courtney's face.

" What's wrong with you? Why is your face like that? " Courtney asked as Grace looked back at the floating chairs and dining table but the chairs and table had returned to their original position.

" I'm fine, have you showered? " Grace asked.

" Yes, I just finished taking a shower. " Courtney answered Grace's question.

" What do you want to eat? " Grace asked again this time.

" I don't want to eat again, I want to wait for mom, dad and grandpa to come home and after that eat together. " Courtney said.

" Okay, I'm going to take a shower first. You don't go anywhere, if someone comes, don't open the door and see who's coming. You understand what I mean? " Grace advised Courtney at length because she was afraid something bad would happen to Courtney if she wasn't around for a while.

" Yeah, I understand " Courtney answered.

" Good, don't go anywhere, just stay here! " Grace said then she immediately went to the bathroom which was in the kitchen.
