CHAPTER FOUR Ros looked me over. “Can you walk?” I tried to smile, but the lower half of my face wouldn’t move very much. “My legs are fine.” “Then let’s get you up to the first cabin,” Ros insisted as he took my hand and guided me up the path. I lifted an eyebrow at my dragon companion. “First cabin?” He pointed up at the sky where the sun had started its descent below the horizon. Night would soon be upon us. “The Paths of the Forgotten is a couple of miles long and it gets steeper before it plateaus onto Village. That’s why a few cabins were built along the trail for people who couldn’t make the trip in one day to stay.” I blinked at him. “The what path?” “That’s the name for these trails,” he explained as he gestured to a side trail which we passed, and which dipped downw
