Kidnapped By The Dark Prince

Chapter 4

My mom got busy on her phone making calls to set up a meeting to get people to assist me on this journey. I was listening to her conversations to who she was going to be sticking me with on this "team". All she said while walking in the living room was she was teaming me up with a werewolf, a vampire, and a witch. 

"Not much help, mom. That could be anyone." I said with a frustrated huff.

I listened closely to her from the stairs by the living room. Dad and the twins were in the kitchen talking among themselves as they cleaned up from our breakfast meal, mostly about what was going on with the whole Lillian situation. 

First Phone Call ...

"Hello, Gloria." Mom said as nicely as possible. "I need your attendance at my house as soon as possible, please."

"I can be there in an hour. Is that alright?" Gloria's voice came out over the speaker of the phone.

"Yes. Thank you. See you soon." Mom said before hanging up.

Gloria Black was a witch and one of mom's best friends. A very powerful white witch (the good kind of witch) that was the leader of The Nightingale Coven, one of the most powerful, largest covens around. She was the mother of my best friend Alyssa and one of Lillian's best friends Annalyse. It made sense that mom called her to help pick the witch member of my team.

Second Phone Call ...

"Hello, Victoria." Mom said sweetly. "I request your attendance at my house. Can you be here in one hour?"

"Of course I can, darling." Came Victoria's British regal voice out of the speaker of the phone.

"Thank you so much. Sorry it's such short notice." Mom said before hanging up.

Victoria Kane was a Queen of Queens. She held a double Queen title. She was the princess of the elves when she met her husband which was a vampire, not just any vampire though. No, she fell in love with and married Elderic, the King of Vampires. His clan, The Blood Thirst Clan, is the largest vampire clan ever. Once she was married, her father resigned his throne of The Elvendorian Clan to her, since she was the eldest child. The largest elf clan in history of elves. She is Queen of the Elves and Queen of the Vampires. She does the job quite well, making it seem so effortlessly done. She is also the mother of one of my other best friends, Alaric. Alaric is in love with Alyssa. He's like her little lost puppy. I'm guessing she will be helping pick the vampire for the team.

Third Phone Call ...

"Hello, Vivian." Mom said still being as polite as she can be. "Could you be ready in an hour? I will come get you. Your attendance is needed at my house."

"Of course." Vivian said excitedly over the speaker of the phone. "I'm guessing this isn't a friendly visit by your tone?"

"No. It isn't. I can never fool you. You are my dearest and oldest friend." Mom said letting a little sadness seep out.

"I will be waiting, dear. I need a little get away time anyways. These boys of mine are driving me crazy." Vivian giggled before hanging up.

Vivian Stone is the Luna of The Black Moon Pride Pack. The largest werewolf pack in the human world. It even had human members, mates of the wolves. Werewolf mates were very important to them and they didn't reject anyone because of their species. The Alpha, Vivian's husband Xander, is a direct descendant of Fenrir, the first and most powerful werewolf. Xander is basically looked at as royalty in the werewolf community. They are parents of one of my best friends and childhood crush, Xavier. So, I'm guessing she will be the one to pick the werewolf member of this stupid team.

I haven't seen Xavier since I was 15, He started training and learning to be Alpha when he turned 16. He couldn't leave the pack after that until he took over being Alpha. He will gain his wolf, find his mate, and become Alpha when he turns 18. Which is in a few days. I never tried to date him because he made it very clear that he was saving himself for his mate. He didn't even want to date. He wanted his firsts to be shared with her. Which made me end up saving all my first for whoever my future husband was going to be. It was such a sweet and sincere notion. 

Well that's all the major leaders of each team member I needed. I guess mom will leave it up to them to pick the best person to go in the place of a member. At least it isn't a bunch of old councilmen. Hopefully, it will be people close to my age and they won't be uptight or non sociable the whole trip.

An hour later and Gloria popped into our living room out of thin air. A moment after so did Victoria. These ladies could do teleportation and the were extremely punctual.

"Good morning ladies." Mom greeted them. "If you will excuse me for a moment, I have to pop over and get Vivian. I will be back shortly."

Mom vanished in the blink of an eye. About one minute later she was back in the living room with Vivian. Werewolves can't teleport, unless they are hybrids, and it would have took a few hours for Vivian to get here if she drove. I believe they are about 8 hours away. 

"Hi, Anna." Gloria said to me.

She was more of a laid back, free spirit type. Most of the witches I knew gave off a hippie/gypsy vibe.

"Hello, Ms. Black." I said sweetly. "Also, Hello to you Ms. Kane and Ms. Stone."

"Hello, darling." Victoria replied, her powerful regal royal aura always made me feel like I should curtsy.

"Hey, sweetie." Vivian said sweetly, she reminded me of a 1950s tv show mom.

"You should have told one of us to stop on the way over to grab Vivian, Olivia." Gloria said.

Olivia Crompton is my mother's name. Sorry, maybe should have told you that.

"Now that we are all here, what is so important you called an emergency meeting?" Victoria asked.

"Yes. You sounded so urgent on the phone and have been in "councilwoman mode" ever since." Vivian pointed out.

Mom looked at each of her friends slowly as her face dropped into a saddened expression. Each of her friends looked back with worry taking over their faces.

"Devon Kingston." Mom said, landing her eyes on Gloria.

Gloria placed her hand on her chest and let out a huge gasp. Victoria and Vivian had curious and confused looks on their faces.
