I woke up from a nightmare about Lillian being taken by some dark figure of a man. Someone kidnapped her and took her far away. That was the most vivid dream I have ever had. I could see the dark figure creeping into her room from the window. I guess, maybe, it's the guilt of the petty words I said last night eating at me. Even though she don't know why, I had to apologize to her. I felt horrible about saying that every since the words left my lips last night.
It was currently 8 a.m., so I knew everyone was still in bed. When they didn't have school, the twins, would hardly ever wake up before lunch. I quietly walked across the upstairs landing to Lillian's room and knocked on the door. Of course, there was no answer because she was asleep, or so I thought at that moment. So, I did what any sweet, loving sister does ... I walked on inside, but she wasn't in there.
"I know she didn't sneak out after I said No and went to bed." I said out loud to myself.
I went downstairs to look for her, in case she woke up early and went to fix herself breakfast. Which was probably unlikely, Lillian was lazy.
Living room ... Nothing.
Bathroom ... Nothing.
Kitchen ... Nothing.
No ... Wait a minute! Over on the table, there was a note in the kitchen that simply said Anna. It was in a tent style way, like a name place card you see at dinner parties.
"I know she did not sneak out and write a note rubbing it in my face." I said out loud to myself, again.
Even for Lills, this would be another level of rebellious behavior, but it wouldn't surprise me one bit. Not when it came to her. She was a typical attention starved middle child.
I picked up the note to read it. A weird smell came off of it, kind of like a musky, damp wood smell. I opened the note. This is the moment when my heart dropped to my feet and my stomach turned.
Panic set in and my first thought was the twins. I ran straight to Kris and Kendall's room, skipping every other step on the way up the stairs. I busted through their door like the Kool-Aid guy. They were both in their beds, still fast asleep. I managed a brief second of relief, before the realization hit ... I have to tell my mom and dad about this. I could just see my mom's mad face and the tears my dad will be crying now. I rolled my eyes and gritted my teeth. I'm going to get whoever this guy is and punch him in the face. Not because he kidnapped Lillian, but because he is making me have to go through all this unnecessary worrying and I know they will bring the guilt wagon with them when they get home.
Reality really kicked in for me now! My mom and dad, when they find out, I'm so going to be so dead.

Anna,
Your wish is my command. You will never have to see Lillian ever again. She will be mine from now on.
P.S. Tell your Mommy I said Hi!
