In the corridor of the Opal Moon Pack house, I observed Avery lying unconscious on the floor, surrounded by my wolves.
"She had been working as a martial arts stuntman for a movie studio all year round. I thought she was more resilient, but she fainted just like that?" I sneered.
"Miss Lilian, what now?" the wolf that had knocked Avery unconscious and tied her up asked in a low voice.
"Take her to Alpha's bedroom. Alpha Watson will be there shortly."
Upon hearing this, my wolf hoisted Avery onto his shoulder and carried her upstairs to the Alpha's room. While my attention was drawn to a jade pendant that had fallen out of Avery's pocket. The pendant shimmered under the warm light in the corridor.
