She hadn't forgotten to prepare dinner for Flavio and Flynt tonight. "Should we continue to wait, or..." Slater glanced at me in the back seat.
I set my phone down, rolled down the window, and observed Avery's back. Along the way, I had gained a clear understanding of her relationship with those two people.
