Chapter 21: Is it worth it to prove that you're right when all that follows is loneliness?

I turn over in my bed, stretch my hand to the other side and reach for Bella, but then I realize that she's gone. I pushed her away. This is just another of the many mornings where I wake up wanting to hold her. I remember all of the times I'd wake up to find her next to me. She'd give me a sleepy smile and whisper good morning against my lips. Sometimes we'd have morning s*x and lay wrapped around each other contentedly afterward.
Bella is the first woman whom I have ever invited into my life. I didn't realize until now how much better she made it. Now, all I feel is pain and regret. I wake up every day wanting her and spend every night thinking about her. I don't understand this feeling.
