I woke up from my nap on Jace's lap, my sense of smell stirring. I sniffed the air, and my heart raced, catching the scent of Jaxon and blood.
Zena panicked, moving.
I heard Jace grunt as I fell off him, running towards the smell. Towards the east of town.
"Melody!" He screamed after me. I whined in pain, unsure why Jaxon was bleeding.
My paws pounded against the ground as I ran towards the source of the smell.
Jace's voice echoed in my mind, Melody, wait! What's wrong?
Blood! Jaxon! I panted, running off the path and into a small line of trees.
He tried to say something but Zena snarled over him when I burst through the trees, my eyes scanned the clearing beside town until I saw them.
Lyra was beside Jaxon, her hands on a large gash on his arm.
Zena snarled at the sight. Jealous and furious of Lyra touching our mate.
Jaxon's eyes locked onto mine, his expression tense.
I didn't understand his expression, only that I needed Lyra away from him.
MINE! I tried to scream at them, but only a snarl left my lips, hitting a mental wall.
Lyra's hand tightened on Jaxon. "We should go-"
I reacted, running towards them, my growl low and menacing, trying to warn Lyra off.
Jaxon's eyes widened, and he moved Lyra behind him, his body language screaming protection.
But Zena didn't see it as protection - she saw it as a betrayal.
Our mate was protecting another female....from us.
My heart fell heavy with hurt, I skidded to a stop, my paws scraping against the ground.
I dropped, whining with the ache in my heart, echoed by Zena pleading.
Jaxon's face paled as he heard the noise.
His hand dropped and he straightened. "Melody?" He whispered, his voice tight and unsure.
I stepped away when he stepped forward, whining.
He glanced at Lyra, her hand on his wounded arm. His head snapped to me, his eyes wide and his hand raised. "Baby girl, it's not-"
Lyra grabbed his bicep, cutting him off and the knife dug deeper into my heart as he looked at her. "Is that your mate?" She scoffed in disgust looking at me, my ears flattening at the venom in her voice. "She's no worth it. She's clearly too stupid-"
Zena roared at her, but I turned and ran, hearing Lyra's horrid laughing, knowing she was right.
Jaxon snarled something, but my whine drowned it out.
I was stupid about werewolves. I didn't understand anything. I didn't understand why seeing Jaxon protect Lyra hurt so much.
Why my Heat was so strong and painful, made me want to give everything and anything to the two powerful men who'd saved me.
Zena tried to sooth me, begging me not to shut her out again.
Melody! Jaxon and Jace's voices screamed into my mind.
Hurt. I cried back, the only thing that kept repeating in my mind.
Baby, let me explain! Jaxon pleaded.
Hurt. I whined back, feeling my heart shatter.
I kept running, my heart heavy with the thought of being rejected by my mates.
Lyra's laughter echoed through my mind, her voice seeming to be carried on the wind. She's not worth it.
I didn't know where I was going, not realising the sudden incline of the hill and I tumbled down, my paws scrambling for traction, and landed with a thud near a small lake behind the mountain.
I yelped in pain as I twisted my ankle.
I tried to stand up, whining when I saw it was my already injured leg.
A scent caught my attention and my head snapped up, whining at the sight of a large Wolf, his fur a shimmering gray in the sunlight. His scent drifted to me, settling my heart.
My Jace. I whined.
He padded towards me, his eyes filled with concern. Melody, are you okay? He asked, his voice gentle.
I whined, trying to put weight on my ankle, but it hurt too much. Jace nuzzled me gently, his warm breath soothing my skin. He sniffed the rest of me, checking my ankle and grumbled a little, smelling my blood from a torn stitch.
His head raised, smelling another males scent.
I put my head on my paws, whining as Jaxon appeared at the top of the hill, his chest heaving with exertion. "Melody, I'm so sorry," he called out, but I just turned away, my heart still hurting.
Jace snarled at him, angry and then nuzzled the side of my neck. Let's get you home, Sweetheart. I need to check your ankle.
I nodded at him, sitting up enough and transformed back into my human form.
I sighed at the feeling, like zipping a duffle bag too full and wrapped the cloak around me as I shivered. Zena rested, assuring me she'd help with healing me as quick as she could, I just had to talk to Jaxon. I sighed, agreeing that I would.
Jace stepped beside me, letting me use him for support and helping me stand, whining when he saw me wincing in pain as I put weight on my ankle.
Jaxon approached me cautiously, his eyes filled with regret.
"Melody, I'm so sorry," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "I didn't recognize you. I've never seen your Wolf form before."
I looked away, still hurt and feeling vulnerable. "You didn't recognize me," I repeated, my voice shaking.
Jaxon stepped beside me, his hand reaching out to touch the cloak. "And the cloak you wear...it dampens your scent. I didn't know it was you until it was too late."
I looked up at him, searching for answers. "Why did you protect Lyra?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
Jaxon's face twisted in anguish. "I wasn't protecting her, I promise. I was just reacting. I didn't know what was happening."
I took a deep breath, trying to process everything. Jace, still in his Wolf form, nudged me gently with his snout, trying to comfort me.
Jaxon's eyes locked onto mine, filled with sincerity. "Melody, I would never intentionally hurt you. I love you."
I blinked, my heart suddenly thrashing wildly against my chest as Zena howled with delight and my breath fell out of me. "Love me?"
He flushed, as if he hadn't realised he'd said the words. His eyes narrowed then, looking at me and he grabbed me, scooping me into his arms.
"Yes," he grunted, tucking me into his chest. "I love you, Melody. Now, we're taking you home, getting your stitches fixed and we're going to talk about this."
I nodded, agreeing and unable to deny the serenity I felt in his arms.
He held me close, his warmth and scent enveloping me as he carried me back to the den.
Jace followed, his eyes never leaving me as he transformed back into his human form.
Once inside, Jaxon gently laid me down on the soft furs of his bed, taking off my cloak and sitting next to me as Jace began to tend to my ankle.
I winced as he cleaned and repaired the torn stitches, reopening a previous injury.
Jaxon stroked my hair, his voice soft and soothing. "Melody, I know what you saw, but know I'd have reacted the same if it had been Thane beside me." He said sincerely.
I chuckled a little at the thought, but sighed reaching for his arm and saw the healing scar that marked it.
"What hurt you?" I asked in a whisper.
He kissed my forehead. "It was just training, baby girl." He said simply. "One of the Delta's I was putting in his place."
I inhaled a sharp breath, flooded with lust at the thought and then embarassment.
Jaxon seemed to noticed, like he saw my emotions and thoughts as if I was made of glass. "It's a good thing that excite you," he kissed my cheek. "It means you still want me to mark and mate you." He smirked against me, feeling my face heat.
"Of course I do." I admitted in a small voice.
I looked up at him, searching in his eyes. "But why can't you just...mate me?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
Jaxon's expression turned solemn. "Alpha's can't mate without markin, Melody. It's not just a physical bond, it's a spiritual one. And I want that with you, all of it."
Jace finished tending to my ankle and nodded in agreement. "It's true, Melody. Marking and mating are two sides of the same coin for Alpha's. We can't have one without the other."
I took a deep breath, trying to understand. Jaxon's eyes locked onto mine, filled with love and longing.
"I want to be yours, Melody. Completely and utterly yours." He cupped my cheek, leaning down to press a soft and gentle kiss against my mouth.
I moaned at the pure feeling of his strength and warmth.
His hand moved, travelling down my stomach and towards my p***y, I shuddered in a whimper, feeling it was still sensitive and flinched.
Jaxon pulled his hand back and looked at me, concerned.
Jace smirked at Jaxon, his eyes glinting with amusement. "You missed out on all the fun earlier."
I felt my face heat up further, and I looked away, trying to hide my blush.
I felt Jaxon's curious gaze on me, the weight of it made me confess.
"Jace...helped me earlier," I admitted, my voice barely above a whisper. "He...pleasured me, to help dull my Heat for a bit."
Jaxon's eyes narrowed slightly, a hint of jealousy flickering in their depths. But then, his expression changed, and he looked at me with a longing gaze.
"I'm glad it helped, Little Flame," he said, his voice low and husky, the nickname making my breath catch - he smirked. "I'm also glad you enjoy being feasted on."
I felt a flutter in my chest, embarrassed but excited by his words. "I-It was the first time." I admitted, unable to stop myself.
I felt their eyebrows raised in curiousity and surprise.
I ducked my eyes, suddenly nervous and incredibly shy about my s****l experience - or lack there of.
"I've never even had real sex."
They blinked at that, making me flare and I'd have run if I could.
"Guys don't really like girls who whimper and growl when they're touched." I grumbled, my embarrassment flaring to anger.
Jace chuckled, his teasing tone returning.
"Looks like we have to prove her wrong ," he said, winking at Jaxon.
Jaxon playfully growled, his eyes pinning me with lust. "I'll get my chance," he promised, his voice full of anticipation.
I blushed again, moving away from them both slightly and a whimper left my throat.
Jace's eyes sparkled with mischief as he spoke, his voice low and husky. "I'll hold her down for you, Jaxon. Make sure she doesn't squirm away while you feast."
My face burned with arousal at the thought of being dominated by both of them.
Jaxon's eyes locked onto mine, his gaze intense and hungry.
"I'd like that," he growled, his voice sending shivers down my spine.
Jace chuckled, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "Oh, Melody's going to enjoy this. She's been craving a little domination, haven't you, Sweetheart?"
I couldn't deny it, my body betraying me as I squirmed with anticipation. Jaxon's eyes flashed with desire, and he leaned in, his voice whispering in my ear.
"We'll take care of you, Little Flame. Together."
My heart raced, my arousal spiking at the thought of being taken care of by both of them.
I was in trouble, and I knew it.
But I couldn't help myself, I wanted this, I wanted them.
True to his word, Jace pinned me down, holding my against his chest while Jaxon slung my legs over his shoulders, pulling me hard against him as he devoured me like a man starved.
His tongue harder and more determined to make me c*m, growls, whimpers and moans falling from me, encouraged by Jace's noises in my ear of enjoyment.
"Such a good girl," he growled, kissing my cheek as I shuddered in an orgasm, crying out Jaxon's name.
He went to raise his head, before I could stop myself, I was gripping his hair and whined. "More. Please, Sir." I panted.
He and Jaxon shared a smirk, Jaxon settling himself between my thighs and started to bring me to climax again, his finger sliding into me at some point, but only able to fit two before it hurt and I whimpered in pain.
"Oh, Little Flame." He grumbled against my clit, making me shudder and push against the fingers he had in me, stretching and massaging parts of me I didn't know could feel so good.
"Guess we'll have to keep practising until you can fit us." Jace growled in my ear, seeing me struggle with even two fingers.
Jaxon f****d me with his fingers, managing to fit a third after my second climax, a flood of liquid pooling squirting from me when he did.
I flared with embarassment but Jace and Jaxon growled in pleasure, Jace commanding Jaxon to make me squirt again.
Jaxon complied with gusto, enjoying watching me as Jace pinned my hands, stopping me from pulling him back or from squirming away.
Jace's hot breath in my ear, calling me Sweetheart, and Jaxon groaning, calling Little Flame.
I passed out after the fifth orgasm, lost to their voices, touches and attention. Jaxon wiped my skin clean and dry, dressing me in one of his shirts.
"I love you, Sweetheart." Jace whispered, tucking me under the blankets.
"We love you, so much, Little Flame." Jaxon breathed, both of them kissing my sleeping lips, rousing me enough I could reply.
"I love you, my mates."
I heard them growl in adoration and approval.
