Hey...Hey sleepyhead. I grumbled as Zena whispered into my mind.
Go away, tired. I muttered back groggily.
Zena giggled. You're also probably a bit sore. She noted, confusing me as I went to sit up, grimacing when I realised she was right.
My thighs and core ached, sending shivers down my spine and goosebumps across my skin remembering why.
Zena snickered in my head. I just thought you'd like a wake up call.
I rubbed my tired eyes, yawing. "Why did I need a wake up call?" I asked her aloud.
"I think it means Zena is hungry," a soft chuckle echoed and I looked to the bedroom door to see Jace smiling as he walked into the room, a tray in his hands as he sat on the bed cross legged and put the tray between us.
"Good morning, little mate." He smiled, his eyes glancing to my neck when I sat up across from him, throwing my hair over my shoulder as I looked over the food he'd brought.
I smiled reaching for a hot cup of tea beside his coffee. "Good morning, my Alpha. Thank you for.....breakfast." I faltered a little, realising it was steak, eggs and fries. I smiled. It was exactly what I was craving.
Jace chuckled, seeing my smile. "I thought steak dinner was a great breakfast." He shrugged.
The plate and smell made my mouth water, my stomach grumbled as I eagerly grabbed one. "I completely agree."
He chuckled again, watching me as I dug in, moaning at the rare meat and devoured my large steak.
He stabbed his fork into the one on his plate, moving it to the empty spot on mine.
I whined as I chewed on the last bite of my steak. You eat. I whined into the mindlink that was more like a door in my mind I merely had to open to access.
He smiled, tilting his head with care. "I already finished three steaks while cooking yours." He gestured to the plates. "I just wasn't sure how hungry you'd be."
I grinned sheepishly. "I might still be hungry after this." I admitted.
He leaned forward, stealing a kiss from my lips while he smiled at me. "I'll take you out for pizza." I beamed, nodding.
"Pick me something to wear?" I asked, finding a new confidence to ask for such a request.
Jace's smile crinkled his eyes and he kissed me again, stroking my hair from my face and cupping my cheeks.
I nuzzled him. "I like being dressed by my mates." I told him.
He nuzzled me back. "I enjoy dressing my mate," he grinned, giving me another kiss before going to the closet where he had half my wardrobe of things he likes, Jaxon having his own collection of my clothes in his.
I pushed against the mental connection, finding my link to my Alpha and mate. Finding it harder, like searching for a rope through mud.
I felt the familiar rope and tugged.
Jaxon? I spoke quietly, not wanting to interrupt him.
I felt him smile through the connection. I'm at the Pack House baby, just dealing with some things.
Can I come see you?
His smile seemed to grow wider. Of course, my little Luna.
I smiled, trying my best to send the action back to him. His voice chuckled, stroking the bond with a caress of love that felt like him kissing my temple, I released the connection, sighing for the odd rush it brought.
I finished both plates of food by the time Jace had picked my clothing, making me giggle when he jogged back to the closet to change the underwear.
I climbed out of the bed, going to bathroom while Jace mused about finding me a hair tie in the cabinet.
I stepped into the shower, hearing him humming and giggled, seeing him lightly dance around the bathroom as he sorted a towel and some lotions for my skin while he did.
"Are you singing Cinderella?" I giggled when I stepped out of the shower, hearing him repeating the song.
He flashed me a smile, ignoring my question as he dried me and helped me lather my skin with my Heat balm and some other things he got me.
Continuing to sing So This Is Love.
I joined him, smiling as he grabbed my hand and pulled me against him, starting to guide me in a box square dance as we hummed together out of the bathroom.
He spun me, making me giggle as he pulled me against his chest, swaying us and kissing his mark gently.
He dressed me in a pair of black jeans and a cream long sleeve with a sweetheart neckline, making me sit on the bed while he put my boots on me and tied them. He smiled when he was done, kissing his way up my legs, waist and neck, pushing me back.
I giggled, nuzzling him, my hands tangling in his hair as he assaulted my neck with small pecks and growled against me playfully.
"Want to go see Jax after pizza?" He grumbled against my neck.
I nodded, humming with delight.
We stopped by Trinity's restaurant, her smile bright when she caught sight of my marking.
Jace leaned against the counter beside me, his hand tracing small circles on my back while Trin and I chatted.
"Oh, little Henry wants to know if you'll be coming by the daycare today," she noted while she made us coffees.
I nodded. "I promised them we'd go for a trip to the lake this afternoon,"
Jace rose an intrigued brow, making me giggle.
"I want to teach the pups foraging," I said, smiling, hoping he'd be okay with it. "Mabel and King are going to escort me, make sure I don't miss something,"
His expression was soft and loving. "That sound like a great idea," he beamed, pulling me against him and kissing my cheek.
Jace glanced over his shoulder for a moment, his expression darkening and I followed his eyeline, Zena instantly growling in my head as Lyra sauntered in.
Trin's jaw twitched with anger, but she said nothing as she set the coffee and hot chai in front of Jace and I.
I found myself staring down at Lyra, watching her move across the room to fall into a table, picking up the menu and looking over it with little interest.
Her eyes flicked to Jace, a coy smile on her lips as her scent filled the room surprisingly.
Trin and Jace shared an enraged scowl at the scent, something about it was familiar - but I knew it wasn't Lyra's natural scent.
Shaking it off, I took Jace's hand and the to-go tray with our drinks. "Could you have like...ten pizzas sent to the Packhouse at about dinner?" I asked, tilting my head at Trin.
She blinked, the anger in her eyes slipping at she registered my question. "Oh...uh, if you're looking to feed everyone..." she trailed off, letting me nod before she gave me a small smile, grabbing a pen and her order book.
"You'll need twenty five pizzas, including fifteen garlic breads-"
"Oo, can you do your lasagna?" Jace asked excitedly, his eyes lighting up at the prospect of Trin's amazing food.
Trin didn't lift her head from her writing, chuckling. "Of course, Alpha." She said easily, waving him off as if to say she'd already had it on the list. "I'll add three Pack lasagnas," she looked over the feast and added a few more things, noting what certain Pack members preferred over others.
Mostly, I just wanted to give the Packhouse a break for the night, most of them having worked non-stop the past few days.
I looked up at Jace, "We have a cinema room, right?"
He nodded, seeing where my thoughts were going, he chuckled. "Yes, we can have a movie night with the Pack," he said, faking a dramatic sigh.
I giggled, reaching on my toes to press a quick kiss to his lips. "Thank you, Alpha," I purred at him, his eyes darkening and he growled at me in warning.
I giggled again, my eyes flashing to Lyra to see her glaring pure hatred towards me.
I gave her a kind smile and waved, her expression dropping to complete shock at my actions.
Jace chuckled roughly, grabbing my hand and pulling me from the restaurant.
Trin and I shouted our goodbyes, laughing slightly as Jace grumbled, calling me a brat.
I grinned at him. "You haven't even seen me be a brat," I warned, my voice edged with a seductive tinge.
His dark eyes scanned my face, a heat flaring in me at the wild look - like he'd take me right here on the sidewalk.
"I punish brats," he said, his voice low and rough.
I bit my bottom lip, looking at him through my lashes. "I'd like that," I murmured in a small voice that stirred his Wolf up, my cheeks heating as he captured me in a searing kiss against the side of his car.
His hands roamed and my knitted into his hair, my breath gone as he devoured my lips, his Wolf on the surface, edging Zena to rise for him and be consumed right here.
If it hadn't been for Trinity running out to give us our forgotten food - we may have not stopped.
We broke apart panting, taking the food bag from Trin and shared a wild look before we descended into a fit of laughter.
