Two: Cared For

They moved towards the mountains, scaling an incline with ease and coming to a flat hill that overlooked lights below. It looked like a small town, with apartments, shops and a quaint neighbourhood near the forest. It was near midnight, the moon high and lighting the way with a silver glow. I watched curiously through my pained daze as Jace jogged ahead, going to a large stone that took up one side of the hill. He pulled open a door, making my eyes widen in surprise as it folded out of the stone seamlessly, I hadn't even noticed it wasn't rock. "Welcome home, baby." Jace smiled. "This is our den." He stated, letting Jaxon in first. The den was stone and wooden, like a grand house, built into the mountain with a large thick front door. Filled with their scents that mingled and combined perfectly, my mouth watered and I barely had the ability to see, turning into Jaxon as I squirmed and moaned. "Take her to mine," Jace said, his voice commanding and I shudder hearing it, feeling the strong presence of him. Jaxon growled in annoyance and possession but followed Jace upstairs to what I assumed was his bedroom. A spacious stone and carpet sanctuary with a massive four-poster bed from fairytales and a warm fire crackling in the corner. Jaxon set me gently on my feet, his hands staying on me as he held me steady. "Why were you being hunted, Melody?" He asked, his voice gentle and his near-silver eyes shining with the firelight. He was beautiful. I hesitated, unsure how they would react. But the feeling of recognition and safety pulsed, putting me at ease while my pains grew worse. I groaned as my knees knocked together and I fell into Jaxon. He caught me, a second pair of hands grabbing my waist and Jace pressed behind me. "Melody." He whispered, his voice low with worry. I leaned into their strong arms, letting them support me and hold me, their hands stroking away the fires that wanted to consume me. "T-the pain-" I panted. Jaxon started to massage my skin across my stomach, making me sigh with relief. "It's your Heat," he said again. "I was adopted," I whimpered in admission. "I didn't know I was a werewolf until I turned eighteen. I hid it from everyone...then I touched silver by accident one day and my neighbour saw it...." I panted, gritting pain and sadness, going to wipe my tears when Jaxon reached up with the end of his shirt, wiping the tears dirt. I gave a meek smile in thanks. "He was a local pastor and thought I was the devil." I sniffled again, feeling pathetic as my emotions forced their way to the surface. I'd survived for four years without an accident. Then a stupid mistake nearly cost me my life. Made even the people who raised me, my parents - hate me. Jace tensed behind me, his claws extending and grazing my skin, pulling me from my thoughts. "Stupid humans." He growled. "They are forbidden here." Jaxon nodded, his eyes burning with possessiveness as he cupped my cheek. "No one will touch our mate." He promised, making me smile slightly. "Our mate?" I repeated breathlessly, pressing back against Jace as his hands squeezed my hips. "Yes, little one." Jace rumbled, my body shaking as his hand pressed against my stomach, pulling me against him more. My heart raced, the pain dulling for a moment as they held me tightly. "We're your soulmates," Jace said in a low voice, his hands roaming my skin, squeezing and massaging it. "You're feeling the Heat," Jaxon pressed into the front of me, making me whimper and smirk pointedly. "It's set off when a female werewolf finds her mate," Jaxon continued, Jace kissing my neck and the pains shuddered to a hum as my eyes fluttered. "To encourage our mating and marking." He inhaled, his eyes closing as his head tilted back. "I've never smelt a Heat so strong." His silver eyes were dark when they met my green ones. "It's maddening." I moaned as his hands squeezed my hips, Jace's mouth moving against my neck. I needed them. Both of them. Jaxon stroked my cheek, his eyes searching mine. "You're ours, shared and loved." He promised, making me whimper and tears welled in my eyes. He took a slow step back, showing me he wasn't leaving, but wanted to look over me. I hesitantly released him, letting him see me. Jace kept a hold of me, comforting me and soothing the aching as his hands moved, one pushing my dirt-clumped copper hair from my face, the other holding my waist reassuringly. I felt nervous as Jaxon's eyes scanned my ragged clothing, covered with dirt, blood and grime, a disapproving frown on his face that me shake with worry. I ducked my eyes and wrapped my arms around myself. "I-I've been running for months." I whimpered, unable to stop the pain in my voice at the thought of either of them finding me unattractive. I needed their approval, I don't know why. Jaxon's hands cupped my cheeks, warm and soft as he guided my face up, his expression relaxed, almost regretful. "You're safe now, Melody." He said softly, his thumb stroking my cheek, the dirt cracking and crumbling under his touch. "You're home," I gave a weak smile, my heart fluttering at his words. "Come have a shower, baby girl" Jace encouraged, stepping back enough, keeping his hand on my back. "You'll feel better." He guided me to a doorway, a luxurious bathroom spread out in marble and brass. There were personal touches of Jace's, making me feel like I was invading, despite the fact I wanted to explore every part of the house. I hesitated when they both stepped into the bathroom with me, shy and self-conscious under the dirt and grime. "I-it's okay, I can bathe alone." I squeaked, looking down. Jace chuckled, warm and loving, taking my hand with the lightest hold. "Come here, little one." He pulled me behind him, leading me further into a large bathroom to the waterfall shower, only separated from the room by clear glass. I blushed as Jace opened the glass door and turned on the water, his hand under the stream to test it. "Undress, baby, we can clean those if they're okay." He gestured lightly to my ruined clothes. I hesitated again. Jace tilted his head curiously. "What is it?" He asked caringly. "I'm scared," I admitted, my hands tightening around me. "I don't want to..." I ducked my eyes, feeling stupid. "Disappoint either of you." I was somewhat small, even when not malnourished. I was only five four and a six four, both Jace and Jaxon were easily six foot two and twice as wide as me. I felt incredibly tiny and meek. Jaxon pressed behind me, making me gasp softly at his strong, warm strength against me. His voice was low and seductive. "Oh, Melody. You could never disappoint us. We waited six years to find you. We want to see you dirty, clean..." he grasped my hips, feeling the peak of skin exposed by my tattered shirt. "Any way you'll give to us." I shuddered as his hands moved, going to the button on my shredded pants. He stopped, noticing my hesitation. "We'll keep your clothes on, for now." He breathed. I blushed, not expecting the restraint but, being thrilled by his hint, wanting to see me naked. It excited and scared me. My Heat pulsed, my stomach tightening almost painfully and I gritted my teeth as my knees buckled, Jaxon's hands moving to steady me. "Shh, baby," he hushed, his hands roaming across my stomach, hips and ribs, putting out the fires. "Soon, I promise." His voice strained. "Jaxon," I whimpered as he pushed me away from him towards Jace, not wanting him to let me go. "Shower, it should help," Jaxon grumbled. My eyes locked with Jace's and my Heart flared between my legs. He reached out for me, watching me with a lustful gaze. I immediately reached back, needing to feel his touch. He smirked, taking my hand and I stepped into the shower, feeling their eyes on me. The water's stream was the perfect temperature; the moment it touched my hand, I sighed and stepped under the water. I'd forgotten what a hot shower had felt like. It cascaded through my hair, collecting as it dissolved the muck, and I tried to aid it with shaking hands. It felt it wash away the layers of dirt, stinging slightly in some areas of fresh wounds, and my skin shivered like it was sighing in relief at being clean for the first time in months. Jaxon stepped into the shower behind me, his spice and smoke scent filling the steam, alerting me to him, and I shuddered, stepping out of the water just enough until his hands touched me, stopping me. "We need you just as much." He purred, moving behind me and then started massaging shampoo into my hair. "Need to care and touch you." I felt a shy moan escape my lips as he tenderly cleaned my hair. "Really?" I whimpered, enjoying the feeling of his strong fingers moving against my scalp. I sighed at his touch. "Your scent drives our Wolves crazy, demanding we f**k you right now," he whispered, leaning down with his breath caressing my ear. "Mate with you." I moaned. "Oh," I breathed. "I also didn't want to waste water." His voice tinged with teasing that excited me like I knew he was lying just so he could touch me. A small giggle left me, and he turned me, wrapping a hand around my waist and dipping my hair back into the water. He rinsed and then conditioned my hair, staring down at me with loving eyes while I looked at him through my wet lashed, blushing as he cared for me.
