I could feel the lightness in the atmosphere at home the next day. I also informed Fernando that I had an appointment today.
"I'm going to see Sharon for an ultrasound today, Fernando. I still want to make sure," I told him.
"I will accompany you," he said, and kissed me on the forehead.
"If there is a baby here--" I said, placing my hand on my stomach. "--we won't tell anyone until the first trimester. Only you, me, and Sharon will know. Oh, and Michelle too, because she was there when I read the test results."
"That's not fair, two of your friends know it," he commented.
"One of them is my doctor, remember?" I retorted.
"Alright. It will be our secret for now."
