Chapter Thirty-Five
“I’m fine.”
“Why don’t I walk you to the dressing room?” King asked but I shook my head. Demon took a half-step back and I stood up. My body shook but I wasn’t going to let them see how much they had affected me.
“I’ll be fine.” I said, walking towards the door of the office. I sucked in a breath, straightening my shoulders as I headed down the stairs.
Later, when I was back at my apartment I would sort through what I was feeling. For now, I just wanted to go get changed into my own clothing and head home for a long shower.
“Sandra, hey-” Lover called out for me but I didn’t stop to talk with him.
