Chapter Thirty-One
I smiled at the crew members when I passed them, trying to hide the nervousness that gnawed at my insides. My heart pounded in my chest as I made my way through the set, reaching the metal stairs that led up to the office where we would be filming.
The director was already up at the top of the steps with the camera setup. He would film me coming up those steps. I rested my hand on the railing and looked up at him. He nodded and motioned to someone off to the side of him. The song started to play and I took a breath as I moved up the steps.
