I enter the LeClaire residence and frown upon seeing Gabby standing next to her bags as though she’s about to go. I didn’t know she was leaving so soon. I don’t ask her though, I only greet and ask if Chloe is in her room. She says she is and I don’t miss how unhappy she looks too, which makes me worry.
They just sat with the lawyer for her father’s will and I know if things were in favor of Chloe, Gabby would wear a different expression. I proceed to Chloe’s room and knock on her door and she immediately invites me inside.
