Chapter 6 “We have to go back!” Solna tightened his grip on Vius’ arm and plowed through the deep leaf litter. There was no way they could go back to the overrun camp until they lost their pursuers. “We cannot. Not yet.” Vius struggled for a moment, pulling at Solna’s hand, but Solna didn’t let it get further than that. He swung Vius in front of him and lifted his husband like a Dragon Bride, his arms under back and knees, and ignored Vius’ struggles as the elf growled curses in his ear. A loud snap echoed through the trees. Vius went unnaturally still and Solna quickened his pace, eyes darting frantically around. Another snap sounded and Solna veered to the left.
