When the young and intelligent village girl named Seetha catches the eye of the powerful Warrior Prince Aaryaraavanan, the two of them soon convince themselves that they were meant to be together.

Ignoring the despicable nature of Aaryan's mother, she is won over by his words and sees all her dreams come true right before her very eyes. Not only does she marry the love of her life but she is given riches, all the luxuries she had never asked for, and a potential future that was too good to be true.

Of course, it was just that... too good to be true.

Because as the time of war fast approaches, betrayal and distrust fill the hearts of all those within this mighty kingdom. And Seetha soon realizes that her deep and unconditional love had blinded her to the evil that is forming within the heart of the man of her dreams.

Prologue
Many have said that when you fall in love with someone, you become blind to all of their flaws. Every scar and blemish that others may call unattractive, you find beautiful. The sharp edges become soft. The lightening strikes turn into sunshine.  That was what happened to me. I doubted myself when I first met him. I questioned his motives. His personality. His heart. The rumours were overwhelming. So my mind spoke up. But my heart won the battle. And now here I was. Watching. Helpless. Trapped. All my freedom to speak and fight ripped away from me. I was no longer a free village girl with a will of her own. I was the wife of the prince. The prince who I loved so much. So I watched in horror as the love of my life pulled the sword out of his fathers heart. His father. The king. He returned the sword into its sheathe in one swift move, his face was stoic... there was no remorse. Then turned to face me, and when is eyes met mine my throat went dry. It felt like a thousand years ago that his eyes looked at me with love. They were always dark and frightening... but they spoke a thousand words to me though his mouth remained closed. I could look into his eyes whenever I felt doubt and within a moment I would feel reassured. It was because I could see the love in his eyes. This time, however... there was nothing. His eyes were black. Emotionless. The love was gone. I knew at that moment that any goodness in him was gone. All that remained was evil.
