It's been ten years since Aidan and the others were back, and war was upon us soon since Roman escaped his imprisonment when he challenged his son and killed him. He didn't know that Kyan was linked to his father, Aidan, and he was furious that he raised Aidan's son this whole time. Lily finally left him for Aidan and Ravena also found out that Aidan, Drax, and Ty were back and more powerful than before making Roman the enemy. Roman took up his father's crown and became the Rogue King, rumor has it, that he and his Beta became hybrids, so they could fight Aidan and win. I was in my office going over some battle strategy with Mendai, Levi mind-linked me, "Zack and Laddie had arrived with their assistant, Bran," I wanted my son close during this tough time. Victoria was meeting with my mother about how they could help the less fortunate be safe in the Kingdom.

Victoria was pregnant again, and she had a son with Rael, I was his godfather, and I was happy for her, she deserved it, I couldn't have given her children but we were willing to move ahead with our mating. She met Rael at the right time, I still loved her but more out of respect, Lamira was also here at the request of Zack, he wanted his mother safe and I smiled. Polly dropped her two-year-old daughter off before heading back to Bearmore, she wanted her safe with her father here in Elvira. Polly and Levi had a daughter just when things got intense with Roman, Axel was the one who sent rogues to kill Victoria all those years ago because I embarrassed him in front of Roman. It was getting late and I decided to head to my penthouse which was closer to my office than the Palace, I had linked one of my ladies to meet me there, I needed to relax, I had started back my harem since Victoria and I got divorced.

I pulled into the parking lot and something felt off, I was a Dark Elf and could feel the dark magic around me, I got out of my car and looked around. I smiled and said, "Show yourself, Axel, it's just us here," he came out of the shadows, his eyes red, he had a bloodlust and smiled but kept it together. He said, "Your men can stand down, I am not here to fight, the war will happen very soon but Roman wants to make an offer with the Elves." I linked Hamir and Hans to stand down, I had my gun in my waist at the back of my pants, I didn't trust Axel's motives but I was going to hear him out. I still wanted him dead for trying to kill Victoria but I have some news for him if he pushes me. He stood in front of me, we were the same height, so we looked each other in the eyes, he stated, "Roman is willing to stay out of your affairs if you helped him win this war, even offers you a mate to bind the deal." I smiled, tore the contract up, and said, "Tell Roman, he is done, Aidan wants his head on a spike, he double-crossed all of us and we will watch his empire burn."

Axel smiled and pulled out his gun, pointing it at my head while I did the same, I wasn't afraid, I told him, "Let me tell you why I will never join Roman and you on this suicide quest, you have to know your days are number." His eyes flickered, he hated I was telling him this, I smiled and said, "I got some information to tell you since you will die soon, you killed Victoria's parents because her mother, Nessa, rejected you, you changed her, and had a daughter," he cut me off and said, "I did kill her family but I have no child with that b***h, Nessa." I smiled and said, "Yes, you do, you changed her, remember? She was protecting her daughter from you but you couldn't let it go, look into it and for your sake, I hope you didn't rape your daughter." He looked like I made him think a little, he was visibly upset and backed off into the shadows, and then he was gone. I linked Rael to assure Victoria's sister and her kids were safe because Axel would come for them.

Two Days Later

We just had an emergency meeting with Queen Marion and Aidan before all hell broke loose, I was monitoring the start of the war as Levi was getting the troops ready. General Kolie was here to assist in battle as promised as he was in our Kingdom on business. We watched as three Kingdoms were attacked at the same time, I ordered men to be delivered to Aidan's pack and I dropped in on the Fae Kingdom delivering men to help contain the war that was happening. The Fae Kingdom wasn't far from us so it was not hard to reach them on time for those traveling by modern transportation and most others walked through a portal I opened. Zack and Laddie kept the bunkers in the Palace from being breached since we found a few rogues there earlier.

We helped contain the shifters as they were attacked first and King Barron killed rogues quickly before linking me saying, "I going to assist my former mate's pack," before mind-linking Toffe in our group link, that they were on their way. A witch was caught snooping around our library looking for Addison's book but it was never in our realm. We had tortured her for the information and we passed it on, so everyone was on the lookout for witches, Queen Marion was pissed her witches were out of control working for that lowlife Roman and once captured, she would punish them. Queen Marion also helped with the delivery of my men and also transported the others to Aidan's territory. My mother looked at me worried about the war as she had the gift of foresight and said, "Your mate is in danger," I was confused as I didn't have a mate, but that was all she had said before leaving to go her room. Mendai was already on the battlefield assisting Aidan and his men, he loved a good fight as he took Dai with him.

I was excited and fascinated at the same time after getting some interesting news from my mother, I headed to Frogger Forest to see Roman's demised firsthand, Levi stayed back but Jared came with me. Levi had a daughter to worry about, and although I had barely spoken to my son in years, I ensured he was protected before I left. I watched Roman being killed as Aidan brought the heat and I felt relieved because now, things would prosper again in Ravena, Aidan announced who they were and that they were back in power. We all knelt in solidarity, even the rogues, now prisoners, accepting our new and final leaders of Ravena. History was made today and will live on forever as long as Ravena exists, we will learn from our mistakes with Roman and I got a link from Aidan to join him back at the Palace. I didn't mind, I wanted to ask Aidan to help me figure out who my mate was that my mother saw in her vision, although I had my suspicions about who it might be, and if I thought who I thought it was, he wouldn't like the idea.

I was drinking my blood bag when I saw my girlfriend walk into the bedroom half naked, she had just taken a shower and I was about to head out to a meeting before attacking Aidan and the others. I was wrong and admitted that as I looked into Drax's eyes, I thought about the things I could have done differently including choosing my brother. I will never have that family I dreamt about with my second chance mate, and I will never get to have a relationship with my grandkids as I felt my life leave me, Maggie came to me in a vision, I said sorry to her in my mind because I wouldn't be coming home to her and saw black. I opened my eyes to a demon looking at me with a smile, he threw cuffs at my feet, they were iron, I said, "I am dead, aren't I?"
