I heard a voice in my head, saying, "Get up," I was groggy after a rough night last night with my brothers and close friends, and I felt stronger when I woke up. I walked to the mirror, washed my face, and looked at my eyes, they changed color, which meant I was now King, the voice said, "Emile, come to me," I ran out to my father's quarters linking my brothers. I saw everyone outside his room, I walked in and saw my mother's head on his chest, she said, "He doesn't have much time, Emile," I walked over to them and knelt at his head taking his hand in mine and said, "Father, I am here." Levi and Jared run into the room with Mendai on their trail with Dai, Levi goes on the other side as my father asks him to stay true to our brotherly bond, Levi kisses his head accepting his dying wish. Jared was next, he was holding in the tears and held his hand telling him that he loved him and would watch over the Kingdom until his very end.
Mendai knelt and bowed to my father, he held his hand and my father pulled it to his mouth kissing it, he said, "I wish we had more time but I love you." Mendai kissed his forehead and then Dai jumped on the bed, hugged him, and cried, "Grandpa don't go," my father whispered something in his ear, he smiled, kissing his cheek, and got off the bed hugging his father, my mother kissed him again. My father was weak, frail, and pale, there was nothing left for the poison to eat away, we fought to save him which prolonged his life but this was the end as his magic was leaving him and entering me. Matthias came through the door crying and I knew he was pretending he loved his brother and said, "I wish we could save you." I felt my brothers' auras forcing him to submit as they looked at him in disgust and I linked them, "Not here."
My father looked into my eyes and linked me with his dying words, "I love you, Emile, you are my legacy, I know Matthias did this, avenge me, avenge the Kingdom, and do not marry a commoner." I smiled because he still was being a strict father and we saw him take his last breath, his final power surge through me turning my hair white. I was now King as my mother screamed crying, I turned around numb, and everyone bowed to me including my brothers. I heard in the hallway, "King Joryen is dead, Long live, King Emile," a horn blew signaling the dawn of the new King throughout the land, as everyone in the Palace repeated, "Long Live, King Emile." I saw my mother walk to me kissing my cheek and then curtsy to King, Dai got up as I nodded for them to rise and hugged me, I loved him as a son although I was his uncle.
I walked to the bed, kissed my father's forehead, and walked out as everyone bowed, I walked down the hall, my aura was strong and so was my grief. Later that evening, the Elders were preparing for the burial of my father, magical messages were sent to our allies to inform them of his passing and me being the King. My coronation will happen one month after my father's funeral giving the Kingdom time to grieve. I hated Matthias as I saw him in the garden with a wine glass in his hand, he wasn't even hiding it anymore and I went down to the stable to get my horse. I had two men on my tail forgetting since becoming King, I would have guards following me around. I stopped as they rode up next to me and said, "Your Majesty," I asked, "Do you swear your allegiance to me?" They said, "Yes, Your Majesty," I said, "Good, tell me when Mr. Bridges get back, stay out of sight," and I rode ahead to the cottage.

I was happy my brother was dead, I saw the power go into Emile as his hair turned white, the sign of a true King, and I saw my Queen grieving. I will wait to go to her until after the funeral of the former King, I will be her shoulder to cry on and make her fall in love with me. I knew my nephews were snooping around so I kept my bad deeds under wraps, I only have a few weeks to get Emile banished or killed, so I can take the throne. I will make him forcefully give up the throne to me and I know just how to do it, by using his w***e, she will be the end of him. I saw him leave with guards on his heels and I headed over to Lady Morgana, she was crying because my plan was working and she was scared they would find out she snuck the poison into the Kingdom. I kissed her and said, "Look at me, we have nothing leading back to us, now I need you to poison Levi and Jared, they are next in line for the throne if Emile is killed."
It had been a few days and it was time for the burial of my brother, I saw a few of the Kingdom's allies including Prince Fitz, who was the son of the Orc King. He respects Emile and his brothers, so I wasn't surprised he was here, the tomb was cleaned and the service began as Emile spoke to his armies, all in their armor as respect. I saw Queen Evangeline in her black dress and face covered but I knew she was crying, she loved my brother but I was ready to have her, I had always loved her and when she mated my brother, I knew I had to get rid of him. Mendai was the last to speak about this father, if I had known his mother was pregnant, I would have killed her and prevented his birth because I would have to take care of him too. My brother was placed in his tomb and it closed, the flags were flown low out of respect and the people sang celebrating his life.
The people cheered for the new King before Levi said "Let's remember the former King as we know him and we shall have a new King who will do right by his people." I walked back to the Palace knowing that I would have a fight on my hands, I wasn't expecting, Mendai, he was waiting on me sitting in my chair. He said, "The King wants a word with you, Uncle," I bowed and followed him out to where Emile was, he was on the balcony watching the townspeople below celebrating. He said, "My coronation will be in a month, you will be shipped off to Orca where you will be mate with, Lady Bevin, the King's niece, you will be in court working with them, so you have a month to prepare." I said, "I will do no such thing," he turned around, and I felt his aura making me kneel, and he asked, "Do you defy your King, Uncle?" I said, "'No, Your Majesty, I will do as you wish," he nodded for me to leave and I walked back to my quarters knowing I needed to move faster.
