Chapter 3: Joycelyn

845 Words
I struggle against the chair. I finally take in the features of the men in the room. Scary is one feature. The guy who tied me to the chair has blonde shiny hair. Props for him taking care of his hair. The guy holding my daughter has a mohawk. Who knew that was still a thing. “Why are you doing this?” I asked the blonde guy. “I have money if that’s what you want? I can get you money. Just let me and my daughter go, please,” I told him. He scoffs before going to the computer. “Tell me what you want!” I screamed out. A dial tone sounds out on a flat-screen computer monitor. Blond hair guy stands in front of me. He grips my hair, mumbling nonsense to me. His grip tightens on my hair, making me gasp out in pain. He punches me, and my daughter screams out for him to stop hurting me. “What the f**k do you want, Maddock?” A deep voice asks out, and his fist stops mere inches from my face. My face is pounding, and my heart is threatening to escape. I can hear my heart beating in my ears. “I got you a little something,” The blonde hair man whose name is now Maddock tells him. I look up to the screen to see bright hazel eyes staring at me. Almost golden like. My eyes widen. I remember those eyes. You can’t forget the eyes of a man that stretched your p***y out and made you feel full from having too much d**k. I couldn’t walk or sit properly for two days. I am staring at the last man I slept with and possibly my daughter’s father. Did he pay this man to look for me or something? Hazel’s eyes recognized me as well, but as quickly as it came, it went away. “What makes you think I want something I already had,” OKAY! So, he didn’t send this man to look for me. Good? My heart thumps in my chest when Maddock starts to laugh. “Look, your wasting my time, and frankly, I don’t give a f**k what you do with her, sell her. Don’t f*****g call me again,” I think I might be having a heart attack. “Nah, nah, Frost. We ain’t nowhere near done,” So, hazel eyes name is Frost. Weird f*****g name. He walks over to Annika, grabbing her by her hair. My eyes widen. “Don’t touch her! Get off of her!” I scream, thrashing against the chair. My movement making the chair scrap against the full. “Pipe,” Maddock punches me hard, causing me to fall, taking the chair with me. “The f**k,” he kicks me. “Down,” he kicks me once more, holding Annika. “Let her go! You’re hurting her!” Annika cries out for me, and it’s pissing me off that I’m so helpless I can’t save my daughter. “Don’t hurt her!” I scream out. I can’t breathe as fear takes over at what he might do to my daughter. Frost looks at Annika before looking back at me. I look away, tears clouding my vision. “She looks just like you, Frost. Don’t you think?” He cups Annika’s private part, and I screamed out. “No! NO! NO!” I try fighting hard against the ropes that bind me, my skin burning. “What do you want, Maddock?” Frost asks. “Your f*****g brother, Ace. He shot my f*****g brother. I want him,” A sob breaks from me. This man, Frost, wasn’t going to give his family up for people who don’t even know. “You have him. Give me a place and time,” My eyes widen. I know I am hearing things. This must be what a heart attack feels like. “Uh.. we meet at Jacksonville bridge, in three days at six o’clock,” Maddock tells him as he pushes Annika away from him and into the arms of the mohawk man. “We have a deal under one condition. You and your men leave the room, and the camera stays on,” he said sternly. If he was a superhero, he could probably kill Maddock with his looks right now. Death be with you. “Whatever you say, Frosty,” Maddock looks at me with this look that promises nothing but pain. I close my eyes, praying for three days to come as soon as possible. Maddock and mohawk leave the room, and I sob as Annika pats my head. I hope you guys are enjoying the book so far. Let me know what you think by commenting, voting, and sharing. Happy Readings! xoxo
