After the attack, it took time to take inventory over what was truly lost. None of Helena’s staff were victims, most were in the house waiting for dinner. The construction workers didn’t fare so well. Five of the carpenters lost their lives, throats slit while on their hands and knees at the beginning of the attack. They died in a pool of their own blood and vomit.
Sigmund and David took the brunt of the attack at the house for a total of one hundred wounds shared between them that required stitches. Doyle and Helena both with protective shirts only required stitches on the bottom half of their body. Helena’s riding boots protected her lower calves still leaving her with ten wounds requiring stitches, Doyle needed nine closed.
