"What do you mean they are gone?" Alex asked slowly. Erica and Dave looked as confused as she felt.
"We got there this morning, and all of them have packed up," Erica said. "The office is closed with a note, saying the office is closed until Monday. And the house is abandoned."
"Where the hell did they go?" Alex asked frustrated. "Surely someone should know."
"There's no one else there, I'm telling you, the house and the offices are deserted," Dave said.
"So we have a missing family?" Joe asked. "Impossible, a mayor can't disappear with no word."
