New York City was always the most beautiful in December. Not only that Christmas songs were playing everywhere, you could also smell the fresh pine trees on the streets, and people seemed to be in a much friendlier mood. But the best part of it all, school was out for a few more weeks.
Walking out of my classroom, I felt proud of myself because I just finished the last exam of the semester. I probably flunked out, but hey, I was just a girl with no prior background in higher education. This was as good as it was gonna get.
