Maxim’s pov
I opened my eyes, “sir you are awake,” Christina said.
I looked around and found only her and Allen in the room.
I could have sworn that Kate was with me.
She was holding my hand and crying.
I tried opening my eyes then but my eyelids were so heavy they didn’t even move.
Was it a dream?
“Sir you should see this,” Christina said and handed me a file.
My Kate had cancer, “get the discharge papers. I am getting the hell out of here,” I said.
“Allen I believe I don’t have to tell you everything,” I said and he nodded.
He then handed me a file.
“I looked into it, and I found a few people who were hospitalized at the time. I mean the people whom Mrs Callas took chemotherapy with,” he said.
