I closed my eyes throughout the flight.
Trying to ignore the burning in felt beneath them.
Sleep had abandoned me last night, of all days it had to leave me when I needed it the most, it only came to my aid just when I didn't need it, it has only been a few minutes after I was drifting away that I heard my alarm ring.
Knowing that it was just a matter of minutes it would take for Ethan to start howling like he usually does, I had to get up from the bed, especially for the fact that I needed to bath, just to feel better at least.
