Chapter 3 For the next week life was as placid as it could be considering everyone worked at a theater. The director, Steve, approved the set designs after Charlie spent a day making the alterations he’d requested. With that bit of business finished, Charlie and Jace set up a schedule for building the sets. While Charlie made it a practice not to interfere with the process, he was also hands-on whenever possible. Seeing a design on paper and seeing it as it came together three-dimensionally were sometimes two very different animals. Jace didn’t mind Charlie being in the midst of everything at times. Far from it. He admired the fact that Charlie could see when something wasn’t coming out the way he’d planned and make suggestions that didn’t mean a major overhaul of one piece of the set or
