"Well, the king permits me to tour the castle," I said with a smile, they lunged at me screaming in joy after staring at me for a while taking in what I said. "You mean king Damon permits you to tour the castle, isn't that somewhat hilarious?" Anna chirped in resting her gaze on Christine for a response. "Guys, stop it. You both led me into acquiring the King's permission, now he lets me tour the castle and you're finding it hilarious" I uttered with a sad tone. "Nevermind! I thought that you both wanted to be my tour guard but it seems like it was my wishful thinking. I'll get ready for breakfast by myself you can leave now" I muttered and strode to the closet, they sauntered towards and grabbed my hand, I stopped waiting to hear their damned explanation. I don't know why they think what I said was hilarious but at least they should be happy that I can tour the castle because this means a lot to me.
"Sorry Jasmine, you misunderstand me, it's not what I meant" Anna asserted.
"Yes, Jasmine. Anna has always been mischievous, she didn't mean it that way, forgive her" Christine chirped in. I turned them with mist in my eyes, "although she didn't mean It, but she found what I said hilarious. Tell me what you mean by that?" I scolded her. "Jas I thought you would understand me more, I said it was hilarious because I was too shocked to know that you get the king to fulfill your desire in a blink that's quite funny since he has been rejecting powerful people" she explained.
"It doesn't matter, don't mock my hard work again" I warned and followed them back to the vanity table, "so tell us, my lady, how did you get the ruthless king to allow you to tour the castle?" Christine finally said after a long while of silence. "I talked to the king and said a few words to him. He agreed as he found it good if I could know my whereabouts in the castle" I let out, cutting some weird things that happened because I wanted to tour the castle. I don't want people to misunderstand and create gossip, especially my personal servants, I don't want them knowing much since this palace is full of leeches that betray their owners. I thought recalling how I got betrayed by my family even when I was in pain they showed no mercy instead they fueled up my pains. I won't allow myself to suffer the piercing pain of betrayal in another man's land, I raised my head glancing at the two ladies in front of me. "What! Do you want anything else to happen apart from speaking to the king?" I inquired, breaking their intense gaze on me. "You're overthinking it, the king has always been ruthless, so we wanted to know if he gave you a condition" Christine muttered, caressing my wrist. I hissed, These two are real snobs.
"You girls shouldn't be bothered by trivial things, looking I'm perfectly okay, the king was in a good mood when I spoke to him yesterday" I affirmed and snatched my wrist from Christine who pulled it back immediately with a widened eye, I looked down to find her staring at the blue intensely. "Hey, can you stop being creepy?" I angrily said as I forcefully snatched my wrist from her grip. She stood up gazing into my eyes, "Jas, where did you get the blue pearl? this can only be created by King Damon in three realms?" Christine asked.
"Ain't exaggerating things a bit? This is just a normal bracelet given to me by the king on my first day. I locked it away for a while but decided to wear it since the king agreed to let me get acquitted with the palace. So, is anything wrong with the bracelet?" I asked, feigning ignorance of the bracelet, I'd promise the king not to let anyone know about our conversation but I'm quite curious why Christine behaved strangely when she saw the blue pearl. I'd have to be careful with everyone in the castle.
"This bracelet means that you're in great danger and you wore it for protection" Annabelle asserted, I stared at the both bewildered how were they able to know the King's business? Was the question lingering on my mind, but just to keep the story short I won't bother asking how they know about the blue pearl it's not important to me. "Yes, I can see that you're the King's precious jewel. To create the blue pearl one needs to use their blood and half of their inner powers. So you have to be nicer to the king from now" I rolled my eyes and told them not to speak about this anymore. They both groaned and starts gathering things that will be needed for the tour. I strode to the closet and chose a blue gown that hugged down to my waist then flared reaching my knee. I made my hair into wavy curls, wore a white sandal. "See you both after breakfast" I bid them goodbye and left. I walked happily to the dining hall and met just the chefs placing the dishes on the table, I sat down and waited carefully for the king to arrive so I'd tell him about my preparation but he didn't show up, Nicholas approached me and inquired he should start dishing out the food. "I'll wait for the King to arrive" I responded.
"You needn't do that my lady, the king won't be having breakfast with you today" he countered, I glared at him questioningly, "oh, the King is busy in the ballroom" he let out. I nodded and asked him to leave. Never mind I'll have the food alone and look for the King later, I dished out the food that I wanted into a plate and started eating happily. Moments later I was already done eating, I wiped my mouth and got up from the seat, I looked around searching for Nicholas but he was nowhere to be seen, I was about to walk out the hall when I saw him and a few chefs coming in. "Hey Nick, can I speak to you for a moment?"
"Sure my lady" he sent the other chefs away and ushered me to a calm place.
