Mate

Luka's (POV)

My mate was here my wolf sensed her as soon as she entered the house "dammit that must mean she is with alpha Evan of the Dark moon pack" I thought and that meant that we would have more than just a treaty to deal with. My wolf was getting more and more excited at the thought of her but my head was telling me "No nothing can happen because then she would get hurt" and there I was warring with myself when a knock at the door came " come in" I said sounding calmer than I felt, in walked Diaz followed by alpha Evan I guessed and then her. My god she was more beautiful than I could have imagined long dark hair framing a small round face with amazing green eyes that reminded me of the woods around us, I couldn't stop my wolf wanting to claim her right there and before I knew it I had her pinned to the door she had just walked through with her hips in my hands and her face just inches from mine my wolf was growling "mine, mine, mine" in my head and I looked into her big green eyes and said it " Mine".

That was all I could say as she looked at me then not scared but she didn't look as if she felt what I felt and that unnerved me, "put my daughter down now" said Evan and then I remembered where we were so I gently put my mate down as not to upset the alpha more I walked back towards my desk where the papers had been placed. 

The next few minutes went by in a blur as I looked at my beautiful mate while I spoke with Evan and I told him I would sign the treaty but I wanted to add something to it " but did I?" I thought but my wolf was drowning out my rational self, I just stared at my mate and I couldn't help but want her here and she knew it. "My daughter will not be involved in this" the alpha stated and he sounded pissed but I didn't care and neither did my wolf. " I'll stay" she blurted out but there was a hint of something else there, my wolf felt overjoyed and I wanted to just pick her up and hold her close but then her dad Evan stopped my thoughts " sweetheart don't feel pressured to stay If your wolf does not feel this guy is your mate then you are not bound!" "What how could she not feel that I'm her mate? It was a bond thing the moon goddess decided and couldn't just be one sided could it?" I fumbled in my thoughts when she spoke again "my wolf is a little uneasy but she responded to alpha Luka" and that's all I needed, "that settles it then I'll sign the treaty and your daughter stays here with me". 

She got a look on her face then that said don't mess with me and it was hot as hell, If we had been alone I would not want to be responsible for my actions but unfortunately we were not alone and I was being given a hard stare from her dad, "my name's Mira by the way and don't think I'm just going to mate with you and let you own me" she said and then she stormed out of my office. "How had I not even asked her her name? My god I had been so wrapped up on my wolf feelings that It had never occurred to me I didn't know her name" "Mira" I said it out loud feeling her name leave my lips, Evan sighed " my daughter is very head strong but believe me if you hurt her no matter what the treaty states I will have your head on a spike" the older alpha spoke with power and even though I had youth on my side being only twenty one I had a feeling I would lose to this guy. " I will take good care of her" was all I could say before he left the room and I turned to Diaz who had been quiet throughout the whole meeting " get a room made up for Mira will you and have her things sent over from Dark moon" I ordered and he nodded and left.
