The Following Day “This is a bad idea, Oliver," Aldric muttered. “Stop saying that," Oliver shot back. “Anyway, remember, this was Kelley's idea to start with." “I know. That's what has me so worried." Oliver, Aldric, and Kelley were half-jogging along a faded trail, their shadows growing in front of them as the sun began to rise at their backs. The thick mist that crept in sluggish rivers across the ground began to fade away, exposing grass covered in shimmering dewdrops beneath. The hardy oak trees that dotted the hills shook themselves awake as a blustering wind passed through their branches. Oliver did not respond to Aldric.
